The prolonged shock and days of relentless exhaustion finally overwhelmed Alyssa. She collapsed and lost consciousness.
In the hospital ward, her elder brothers paced back and forth like ants on a hot pan. Once again, the Taylors found themselves in yet another massive crisis.
"Jonah, I know this isn't something I should be saying right now, but we truly have no other choice. We've been pushed into a corner."
Silas drew a deep breath and looked at Jonah, his expression sincere yet utterly helpless. "Could you get in touch with Julien? He's a world-renowned neurologist. If anyone can help, it's him. I'll go to him myself. I'll plead, bargain—whatever he asks.
"I'm willing to give up my career as a prosecutor so long as he can help Dad regain his memories."
The Taylors were stunned.
Back in high school, Silas had dreamed of becoming a prosecutor. He had spent more than a decade clawing his way toward that goal, enduring countless sacrifices to stand where he was today. Everyone knew that this career was not just his dream—it was his purpose, the very thing that gave his life meaning.
Yet now, he was willing to abandon it without hesitation.
It was painfully clear that, to Silas, nothing mattered more than Winston recovering his memories.
"Don't say that, Silas…" Jonah choked, finding it difficult to breathe.
Axel's eyes were bloodshot. He stepped forward as well, his voice low and strained. "Jonah, please ask Julien to help save Dad. If Dad doesn't recover his memories, Lyse will fall apart too. Who knows how badly it could affect her? She might even become depressed.
"She's already lost Jasper's love. She can't lose Dad's love as well… That would destroy her."
"I know. Lyse is my sister too. Of course I know how much she's hurting." Jonah rubbed his face hard, his movements sluggish with despair. When he spoke again, his voice was hoarse, like a man who had wandered the desert for days without water. "I'll do everything I can to reach Julien. I don't care if I have to kneel before him every single day—as long as he's willing to help."
With trembling fingers, he raised his phone and dialed Julien's number again.
Once again, however, he was met with Julien's voicemail; his phone was still switched off.
"What's going on?" Colene said anxiously as she walked over, phone in hand. "I still can't reach Mandy either. This isn't normal.
"There's no way she'd go completely silent when something this serious has happened to Winston. Even if she couldn't come back, she would've contacted us.
"What should we do? I'm really worried!"
Everyone exchanged uneasy looks.
They had been so consumed with Alyssa's collapse that none of them had noticed Mandy's prolonged absence.
Where could she have vanished to at such an hour?
With a serious look on his face, Liam asked, "What was the last time you saw Mandy?"
"This morning," Lyla replied immediately. "After lunch, she said she was heading out for a bit. She hasn't come back since. I just called Mr. Anderson—he said she never returned to Heightsnew Villa."

Please give us a proper ending. I can't believe that we reached as far as chapter 2483 and the story is still hanging. We would love at least for Alyssa and Jasper to be reunited without hassles....
Can u post more chapters as promised for 7 chapters a day. Enjoyed the story very much. Hope all is well and thank you in advance....
HI. I am stuck on 2454 for over 3 months now. Will there be any more chapters or we just have to stop waiting for it and forget about this book....
seems to have come to a halt useless...
Where are the chapters please ? Over a week no updates....
Just tell me where to purchase the book I definitely will buy it...
Need more chapters please...
It’s dwindled down to 1 page a day??...
7 chapters a day would be great...
I am trying to figure out why an author writes one page and it is suppose to be a chapter and then the author gets the audience hooked on the story and just drags it on. Follow the rules please, and at least give the 7 chapters daily. Two chapters every other day is a waste of time. Or just release the book and give us the option to buy it....
