A deafening boom rang out.
Hand grenades blasted open the laboratory's locked doors at the main entrance. Fully armed Special Forces members stormed into the building, guns raised.
They conducted a thorough sweep of the premises, inside and out, surrounding the underground laboratory from all sides.
Outside, subordinates who resisted were shot on the spot, while those wounded were immediately arrested.
Cyrus, the commander of the raid under the operation codename "The Dawn", did not remain at the mobile command centre at the foot of the mountain. Instead, he joined the frontliners in arresting the criminals and rescuing the victims.
"Chief Taylor, we have searched every room in the building, but we haven't found anyone suspicious."
"Chief Taylor, there's another door leading to a secret passage two levels below. They have probably escaped through that exit. We have already contacted our colleagues stationed at the foot of the mountain and instructed them to guard all exits there.
"If they encounter any suspicious individuals, they'll arrest them immediately."
A fierce gleam flashed in Cyrus' eyes as he gave his orders. "Do your best to take them alive. Everyone's statement is crucial.
"There's one person we must capture—a woman named Sheryl Gillis. I shared her personal information and photograph during the emergency briefing earlier. You all remember her, don't you?"
"Yes, we do! This information has been disseminated to the rest of the team as well."
Cyrus surveyed the dim, empty underground laboratory. The white lights overhead flickered as a draft swept through the corridors.
The air was thick with a revolting cocktail of smells, including the acrid sting of antiseptic mixed with the metallic tang of blood. This was yet another hell on earth, hidden away from the world.
A few Special Forces members ran toward them, panting. With grave expressions, they reported, "Chief Taylor, all the victims are dead. They were each shot in the head. None were spared."
Cyrus' eyes widened in shock. "What did you say? Not a single survivor?"
The officers lowered their heads, grief and helplessness etched across their faces.
"Fuck!"
Cyrus' furious roar echoed through the corridor. He rushed into the wards one after another, only to be met with the same horrifying sight—cold corpses of people who had died tragic deaths.
Watching him desperately search for survivors twisted everyone's stomachs.

Please give us a proper ending. I can't believe that we reached as far as chapter 2483 and the story is still hanging. We would love at least for Alyssa and Jasper to be reunited without hassles....
Can u post more chapters as promised for 7 chapters a day. Enjoyed the story very much. Hope all is well and thank you in advance....
HI. I am stuck on 2454 for over 3 months now. Will there be any more chapters or we just have to stop waiting for it and forget about this book....
seems to have come to a halt useless...
Where are the chapters please ? Over a week no updates....
Just tell me where to purchase the book I definitely will buy it...
Need more chapters please...
It’s dwindled down to 1 page a day??...
7 chapters a day would be great...
I am trying to figure out why an author writes one page and it is suppose to be a chapter and then the author gets the audience hooked on the story and just drags it on. Follow the rules please, and at least give the 7 chapters daily. Two chapters every other day is a waste of time. Or just release the book and give us the option to buy it....
