"I said that you were praying for me before. That was a guess."
Rosalie furrowed her brows and looked doubtfully at him. "If that wasn’t a guess, how did you know?"
Justin was in the intensive care unit and unconscious at that time. No one could have told him about it.
"Was it when I sat by your bedside…?"
Wait.
Rosalie thought back and said, "When I was seated by your bedside, I did hope that you would wake up, but I didn’t pray."
"Yes, you didn’t pray when you sat by my bedside, but when you stood outside the ward in the intensive care unit, you were praying at the window. You even scolded the heavens, didn’t you?"
Shocked, Rosalie asked, "How did you know? Did you see the hospital’s surveillance footage? Were there cameras along the corridor?"
That seemed to be the only reasonable explanation as to why he even knew about her scolding the heavens.
"I didn’t see the surveillance footage. I saw it with my own eyes."
"But you were lying on the bed. Were you awake?"
Even if he were awake, he couldn’t have heard her praying outside the ward.
"Rose, have you heard about near-death experiences?"
"Near-death experiences?" Rosalie’s heart leaped when she heard that.
No one could produce concrete evidence and each side has its own explanation.
It depended on what one believed in. If one believed in science, he would believe the scientific explanation that it was merely an illusion. If one believed in the metaphysical, he would believe that it was the soul leaving the body. No one could prove who was right or wrong.
Rosalie believed that what Justin said was true. Agitated, she asked, "And then? How did you feel then?"
Justin thought back on his experience and said, "I felt very calm as I looked on indifferently at everyone around me. Sometimes, when I passed by other wards and saw patients pass away and their family members crying over them, I felt nothing. I didn’t even feel the pain and remorse I always feel over Youngie’s death."
Rosalie looked at him. Knowing that he wasn’t done speaking, she waited for him to continue.
After a while, Justin went on, "I even saw that woman Aurora who said many nasty things about you. You couldn’t hold it back any further and slapped her. Theodore then ran over and blamed you without asking any questions, thinking it was all your fault for bullying his girlfriend. His girlfriend looked so weak and vulnerable, but I think she’s quite scheming. But she’s scheming in an exceptionally disgusting way, using her weakness and vulnerability to gain a man’s sympathy."

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
