But now that she thought about it, if she had really done that, Theodore would surely have found out.
"Let's go back to your ward first. I'll tell you what to do," Yerick said, extending his hand.
Aurora took his hand, following him back to the room in a daze. Once inside, she sat on the bed and burst into tears.
"Theodore lied to me! Why did he lie to me? How could he do this to me?"
She clutched her chest, struggling to catch her breath.
Yerick's lips curled into a cruel smile, and he said seriously, "With your frail health, how can you compete with Rosalie?"
"What should I do, then? It's not my fault that I have bad health! I have no other choice."
Yerick raised an eyebrow. "What if I told you that you do have a choice?"
"What do you mean? Can you help me?" She grabbed his arm, her voice trembling with emotion. "You can help me, right? Please think of a way for me! I can't lose Theo. I've fallen deeply in love with him. If I have to leave him now, I'll go crazy. I'd rather die!"
The more Aurora thought about it, the more agitated she became. She clutched her chest as she almost couldn't breathe.
Yerick pointed at her heart. "This is your best bargaining chip."
"What?" Aurora looked at him in confusion. "Bargaining chip? Are you talking about my heart condition? You want me to use my heart problem to tie him to me?"
Aurora shook her head.
"This is a good thing. It'll make Theodore stay by your side and take care of you without leaving, and it'll show Rosalie how much he cares about you," Yerick said.
"Won't this medicine harm me?" Aurora felt uneasy, suspecting it wasn't something good.
"Of course it won't." Yerick raised his head and gently stroked her face. "Once you take it, your heart will immediately fail. You'll need a heart transplant within two days, or else you'll die."
Aurora gasped, quickly pushing his hand away. "No, I can't take this medicine!"
Yerick grabbed her hand and shoved the pill into her palm, then forced her to close her hand around the pill.
"I won't force you to take it if you don't want to," he said, "but I can only tell you that if you do, I can get you a heart. You'll have a healthy heart, and you'll never have to endure the pain of your condition again. You won't have to worry about dying at any moment anymore."

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
