"What did you say?" Rosalie asked, shocked.
"She has undergone heart transplant surgery and has recovered from it. I don't have anything else to worry about. She might get sad over the breakup, but it wouldn't threaten her life. I'll give her some cash," Theodore explained.
"And then? Even if you broke up with Aurora, it's impossible between us. Don't…"
"Rose," Theodore said, cutting her off. "I haven't thought so far ahead, so don't worry. I'm going for the operation in two days. Can you have this meal with me?"
After a moment's pause, Rosalie hugged her baby tighter in her arms and nodded.
Theodore, pleased, pulled a chair out for her. Seeing the baby in her arms, he asked, "May I carry him?"
Rosalie nodded and handed the baby to him.
Theodore carried the baby in his arms. His eyes were filled with tenderness upon seeing how adorable and obedient the baby was.
"He doesn't look a thing like Sebastian. He looks more like you."
The baby was very obedient and quiet in Theodore's arms. He carried the baby and settled in his chair.
"Rose, let me carry him. Don't worry, I'll be very careful."
Rosalie nodded. "Sure."
Things were going well in the private room.
Theodore kept chatting with her as their food was served. They instinctively reminisced about happy times in the past and couldn't help but laugh.
The baby was infected by the joyous mood in the private room and gurgled with laughter as well.
Rosalie suddenly felt a pang of pain at the scene before her. They were supposed to be a happy family of three, but they were now separated.
"Theo, I have something to tell you."
She really couldn't hide the truth any longer.
"What is it?" Theodore asked, looking up at her.
[I just want you to know the truth. Theodore Spencer is a liar. He lied about his cancer to gain your sympathy and even fabricated a fake medical report. If you don't believe me, take him to the hospital for a check-up.]
Rosalie put her phone away.
Theodore was worried about her. "What's the matter? Do you feel unwell?"
"Theo, I know a hospital that specializes in dealing with tumors. I'll bring you there for another check-up tomorrow."
Theodore frowned. "Why?"
"You'll have peace of mind with a second opinion."
"It's fine," Theodore said. "I've had a check-up at Melrine and another one back here. I'll just go for the surgery."
"But I want to bring you for a check-up. I want to be with you and see your medical records for myself. I need to figure out what exactly is going on," Rosalie insisted.
Theodore's face turned solemn. "Rose, what do you mean by that?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
