Rosalie pushed him away. "Fine, I'll sleep here. You should go to sleep, too."
Theodore tucked her into bed before turning around and heading to the couch.
The lights in the room were switched off.
About two hours later, Rosalie heard the sounds of a baby crying. She was very sensitive to it, and her eyes flew open. She switched the lights on, wanting to leave the room to coax her baby.
However, when her gaze landed on the couch, she found only a blanket that was left lying on the ground. Theodore had disappeared.
Where did he go?
Rosalie rubbed her eyes, but she didn't have time to look into things. She got out of bed, threw on a cardigan, and left the room.
When she left the room, however, the cries stopped.
Despite that, she walked to Steve's room and saw the lights in his room switched on when she arrived. A gentle and soothing voice came from inside.
"Darling, are you frightened, being all alone inside? Don't worry, I'm here. Don't be scared. If you see any baddies, I'll chase them all away."
Theodore was carrying Steve in his arms, standing by the cot and coaxing the baby back to sleep. He paced back and forth while speaking softly to Steve.
Steve chuckled and cooed, which made Theodore laugh too.
"Why are you so adorable? Just like your mother. Darling, don't ever be like your dad when you grow up." Theodore caressed Steve's little cheek. "Although you're Sebastian's child, you're also Rose's child. I'll dote on you."
Rosalie didn't interrupt the moment by walking into the room. Instead, she left quietly, giving Theodore and Steve some space. After returning to the room, she lay on the bed but couldn't sleep, staring blankly at the ceiling above her.
After around half an hour, the door was carefully pushed open. Theodore came back and found the lights still switched on. He didn't recall switching the lights on when he left the room. He was very careful, tiptoeing and making sure he didn't wake Rosalie up.
Rosalie was still lying on the bed, looking as though she was sound asleep.
Theodore was about to switch the lights off when Rosalie suddenly sat up on the bed.
"You're back."
Theodore jumped back in shock. "Rose, when did you wake up? Did the baby's cries wake you up?"

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
