Rosalie and Theodore heard the commotion and rushed out the door.
After running down the hallway, they followed the voices and came to the stairway where they saw Aurora at the foot of the stairs.
Rebecca was in her arms, unconscious. Angie stood behind Aurora, looking lost and confused.
"Grandma!" Theodore and Rosalie rushed down the stairs. They crouched down and started to panic upon seeing her knocked out cold.
"What happened? What was Grandma doing here?" Theodore asked.
"I have no idea," Aurora said through sobs, "I heard something outside and came out to check it out. I ended up seeing Grandma falling down the stairs."
"Yes," Angie said, "what should we do?"
"Quick, send her to the hospital!" Rosalie said anxiously.
Theodore immediately hauled Rebecca into his arms and rushed out the door. "Help! Get the car ready!"
The night was doomed to be a restless one.
-
Rebecca had fallen down the stairs and was sent to the hospital in the middle of the night for emergency resuscitation. Although she was saved, she remained unconscious. No one knew when she would wake up.
The sun had risen.
Rosalie and Theodore stood at the door of Rebecca's ward, their faces etched with exhaustion.
"How did this happen?" Rosalie said through tears. "Nothing can happen to Grandma."
The intimate way Rosalie and Theodore interacted with each other sent flames of jealousy burning in Aurora's heart.
She hurriedly added, "Theo, this has nothing to do with you. Both of you look so tired, you two should go back and get some rest. Angie and I can stand vigil at Madam Jarvi's side. I'll call you if there's anything."
"No need. This has nothing to do with you two. You two should head back instead," Theodore said. "I'll have someone come here to take care of Grandma."
Aurora was very uncomfortable hearing Theodore treat her like an outsider.
"At least have some breakfast. We'll head back after breakfast. I already bought your share."
Rosalie glanced at Theodore. "Theo, let's have breakfast first. We still need to take care of Grandma, so we should keep ourselves healthy."
No one wanted this to happen. They had to remain calm to be able to solve the problems that were bound to come.

The readers' comments on the novel: Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)
Why aren't u updating......
Unrealistic. What a comedy. If Sebastian and Rosalie are cousins, their families must have already prevented them to be together abroad. Isn't it bizarre that nobody is doing something to let them know of their family relationship? And pls stop putting Aurora in a high pedestal. Your readers want Rosalie to be genuinely happy, free of stupid misunderstanding. Thank you....
Another garbled story with lots of gibberish. Absolute rubbish. I got to chapter 26 and can't anymore...
Too many people involve.. sigh~ this is like the most angst novel i've read.....
I just wish one thing...that the writer will not bring too many unnecessary and unrealistic twists, too many misunderstanding, miscommunication that gives the reader the hint not to continue with the novel. In the long run, We lost our interest in this kind of unending plot....
Thanks for the update !...
