Chapter 367
Sprocket POV
The days went by fast. My wedding is tomorrow. The night was exactly as I expected. Having done this before with my mates, the only difference was that they were giving me advice on keeping my
woman happy and suggestions on some fun nights together.
It was so unreal.
Not exactly what I was expecting, but I loved it and wouldn’t want to change any of it.
We had all grown up, wives, but still so close together, there was nothing we couldn’t talk about
with each other.
I am so lucky to have such great friends with whom we have grown up all our lives and will, hopefully, continue to be close for the rest of our lives, maybe have children of our own, and they, too, might be lucky to bond together like we have, no pressure, but who knows what life has in
store.
Children, we chatted about having them, us, men, talked about babies. You wouldn’t expect that at a buck’s night, but we did. All of us are looking forward to being dads on the day. We love our dads and want to emulate them, be there for our children every step of the way, and only change small things, because that’s what the new generation does: try to improve on what’s already perfect.
The smell of coffee close by woke me.
Storm had gone downstairs and brought up coffee, bacon, eggs, hash browns, sausage and toast for us all to have for breakfast, and as much as I would love to roll over and continue to sleep, those smelly feet I had been cuddling don’t smell half as good as that coffee. I sat up, rubbed my eyes, and stretched before coffee was placed in my hands.
“You’re a lifesaver,” I thanked Storm as he handed out the elixir of life.
Getting ready was the same as every other time, with one exception: I was the star attraction this
time.
“You ready for this, man?” Doom and Skunk asked at the same time, which had us chuckling again, because that was how most of our night had been. We were on the same page, often speaking at the same time, with the same words. You would think we were quads; we were that in tune.
“Yes, bring it on.”
“You’re the last to catch up. Now let’s get you your woman.” Storm patted me on the back, and the others joined in, and we ended up with a group hug before leaving the security of our private
moment over.

“Son.” Dad met me at the small stage. The place looked good. The glitter was a nice touch, and it
will make Skittles love it just a little more. Penny must have been dancing around, throwing it
about; she loves glitter and random works.
“Dad, you ready to do this?” I asked. He looked emotional, more than I had seen him in any other
ceremony.
“That’s my line. But yeah, I am ready.” I chuckled and was about to talk some more when the sound
of bikes arrived.

“Sprocket, do you have words of commitment to say to your lady?” Dad urged, and my thoughts became all jumbled as I tried to think of what I was going to say.
