In the human region and the werewolf territory, respect and appearances are paramount. Scandals travel too quickly here, and the media has brought powerful people down faster than they climbed to the top.

The Bani family are humans, yet they are respected everywhere. They’re used to the cameras and know exactly how to use them to their advantage. And Ares Bani, he is the master of it all.

We left home this morning barely speaking to each other, but the moment the car arrived at his company, he alighted, opened the car door for me, and smiled brightly, his hand secured at my waist, his gaze on me as though I was the only woman in his life.

The security that morning was unusually tight, and I wondered what type of guests we were receiving. The investors we would be partnering with for the holiday charity event.

With the cameras clicking, I allowed Ares to lead me into the lobby and down to the pristine grand conference hall where his shareholders were waiting.

Everyone seemed ready for the collaboration. As I stepped into the hall, I paused at the entrance. On the large screen ahead was a looping display of the charity plan and the name of the investor.

Godlike Legal Empire.

My breath nearly seized.

The Godlike. As a name, as a pack, as a business, as a legacy. The Godlike Pack is the largest in the werewolf territory, and Godlike Legal Empire is the most vast, wealthiest business conglomerate in existence. The name “Godlike” belongs to the founder of the pack and everything that grew from him.

It is a legacy older than the moon goddess‘ whispers, older than my family. The name alone sent shivers down my spine.

Slowly, I glanced at Ares, already chatting with his board, excitement radiating off him. He had left my side completely. He must be exhilarated; partnering with the Godlikes was a fortune thousands of business tycoons would kill for.

“You should come sit,” he said, pulling out a chair for me. I lingered for a heartbeat, our eyes locking as I debated what to do.

With all eyes on me, I could easily reject the position and hand it to someone else, someone like Lencia, perhaps. I caught her standing off to the side, tablet in hand, the perfect secretary.

“Thank you, honey,” I murmured stiffly, walking toward the chair with a smile. I sat down, bowing politely to the board members, who returned my greeting.

“It is good to have you here, Mrs. Snow,” Mr. Cabi said, and I bowed again.

It didn’t take long before everyone settled, waiting for the Godlike representatives.

Ares glanced at Veyron, his personal assistant.

“They’re on their way already, sir,” Veyron replied. Before he finished speaking, the sound of multiple engines echoed from the F.A.A.R garage.

Veyron rushed to the window, then nodded to confirm the Godlikes had arrived.

“Coordinating a charity event is one of the most tedious jobs, Mrs. Snow,” Mr. Cabi whispered as we waited. “You’ll be partnering with the Godlike representative. Are you up to it?”

He meant well. And I had no choice but to prepare myself. I smiled in response, about to speak, but the door opened and the atmosphere shifted instantly.

Godlikes were werewolves, but because the very first Alpha originated from their pack, they carried a different aura, weighty, ancient, superior. The men walked in with pressed suits and polished shoes, flanking the CEO.

Yenda Godlike.

Everyone rose instantly to greet him. Ares approached him and extended his hand.

Yenda accepted it with a firm shake and a cool smile. The moment I looked at him, my energy picked up something dark, bloody, lurking beneath his polished exterior.

He was handsome, appearing in his mid–thirties, with dark hair and eyes that held something I couldn’t quite name, something that made me feel slightly insecure.

“Welcome, Mr. Yenda. I am grateful for your arrival. I am Ares Bani, and this is my wife, Snow Frost,” Ares introduced.

Yenda’s gaze shifted to me sharply, compelling me to bow my head. When I straightened, I noticed a brief frown cross his features before he masked it with a smile.

“She’s beautiful,” he said, extending his hand. I placed mine on his, and he lifted it to kiss the back gently. “I’ve heard of the Frosts a few years back. I never knew they had a daughter. I thought it was only three sons.”

I lowered my gaze, offering a small smile.

“They are my brothers,” I replied, pride slipping through my voice.

He studied me again, then nodded and released my hand.

“Let’s get to work, shall we?”

“Yes, please,” Ares answered quickly.

We all returned to our seats. Ares walked to the screen to give the briefing while Yenda sat at the front, his assistants taking their place behind him like a disciplined guard.

Just then I noticed one of them in particular standing aside, checking his wristwatch.

“For this year,” Ares began, “we will be creating more opportunities for the needy. Free resort time, free flights, and expanded donations..The donation locations are listed on the screen.” The slideshow shifted. “The charity event will last for one week from Christmas Day to New Year.”

“Well,” Mr. Cabi interjected, “how much is the budget on ground?” The other board members nodded, wanting the same answer.

Ares glanced at Yenda, only to find him checking his wristwatch, looking almost impatient.

“Oh, uhm…” Yenda began, realizing we were all waiting. “The budget for the holiday charity event will not be less than fifteen billion…”

“What?!”

The exclamation rippled through the room before Yenda even finished speaking. A gasp of awe filled the conference hall. Even I felt my pulse stutter.

I lifted my gaze to Ares, who was clearly taken aback by the amount yet delighted. Already calculating the doors this partnership would open for him.

“Godlike Legal Empire is providing this money,” Yenda continued smoothly, “to ensure the donations and charity reach the right people and stabilize them.”

“Well, the list of donation sites is ready,” Ares added quickly. “I must ask, Mr. Yenda, who will be representing the werewolves as the charity coordinator?”

Yenda checked his wristwatch again, irritation flickering across his face. He turned to the silent man standing beside him.

“Desmond, where is he?”

Before the handsome man, Desmond could answer, the roar of an engine echoed outside loud, commanding. Heavy footsteps followed after a few seconds, echoing through the hallway.

The conference doors swung open at last.

A man stepped inside, pausing at the threshold for a brief, electrifying moment.

“Here he is,” Yenda said. “My younger brother. He will be handling the charity event.”

And the words crashed into me like a boulder.

I shot to my feet the instant I saw him… again.

There is only one man with such an aura, one who looks like damnation itself, a weapon forged to ruin the saintest soul.

The stranger I met under the snowy night. The one who kissed me.

He is here.

And… he is a Godlike?!
