Twenty-five million dollars!
Mandy's expression changed slightly. Although the Zimmer family's assets were more than a few million dollars, if they had that much working capital, they would not need York Enterprise’s investment so desperately. Moreover, York Enterprise only paid 7.6 million in the first phase. Covey requested for twenty-five million dollars under such circumstances, which was really picking their pockets. He did not even want to negotiate properly.
"If the Zimmer family had that much money to give you, we wouldn’t have to find external investments. M r. Chad, what do you want? Just be direct. We have never offended you, so why are you deliberately targeting us?" Mandy forced herself to speak calmly.
"So what? I come after you because I take you seriously, understand? Why do I have to give you a reason or an excuse? Who the hell is the Zimmer family? You even wanted me to explain." Covey frowned and looked at Mandy unhappily.
Mandy took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down, then continued, "Mr. Chad, I came here with sincere intentions, so I hope you will do the same."
"Well, I do like a straightforward person." Covey nodded slowly. "Since you said that you are sincere, then show me your sincerity. There's a nice room
behind this one, and I have prepared bathwater for you. I think you will like it.”
Mandy’s face instantly turned pale. She did not expect Covey to be so shameless and dare to make such a ridiculous request. She would never agree to it!
At that moment, Harvey suddenly took a step forward. He stood in front of Mandy protectively and said," Covey, you can't just simply target the Zimmer family without any reason. Someone must have instigated this, right? I never thought that you, a local tyrant in Niumhi, would be ordered around by someone else."
"Who are you? What right do you have to speak in front of me?" Covey did not even look at Harvey. "I'll say it now: if you want to solve this, your wife has to d o as I say. Useless b*stard, do you still dare to speak?"
As soon as Covey finished, a few gangsters behind him stepped forward. Some were holding steel pipes, a s if telling Harvey that he would be maimed if he dared to speak again.
Mandy never expected Covey to be this unreasonable and plan to injure them when they did not agree with him. She unconsciously hid behind Harvey. 2
"Hahaha, my goddess, why are you hiding behind that wimp? Can he protect you? Why don't you come to m e? No one would dare treat you badly or touch you.
"Hey, you need to be more respectful to your sister-in-law." Covey smiled and stared at Mandy. "Speaking of which, I truly feel sorry for you. You live like a widow even after three years of marriage."
Covey sneered again after saying these words.
Harvey’s eyes were full of murderous intent. He walked up to Covey, sat down on the chair directly opposite him, and lifted his legs onto the table.
One of the gangsters immediately rushed forward, and shouted, "You are just a useless live-in son-in-law.
You are not even qualified to sit down in front of Big Brother. Get out!"
He was ready to punch Harvey in the face as soon as h e finished speaking.
