Su Qinglan and Han Jue sat under another shed for a while, looking out at the rain-soaked tribe.
And she noticed that the tribe was still bustling with life even though it was raining nonstop, because the beastmen here had survived storms much worse than this light rain.
So this small rain meant nothing to them at all, and everyone continued walking around the tribe freely, carrying wood, building new sheds, and expanding the cooking spaces just like her group had done yesterday.
Everywhere she looked, she saw beastmen busy building, and she also noticed how all the tree houses stood apart with enough space between them, leaving two or three full-grown trees untouched between every home, making the entire tribe area extremely large and spacious. And now, after including the rabbit tribe, the overall tribe had become even bigger than she remembered.
Soon she reached the part of the tribe where she wanted to go, because she planned to visit Bai Ling’s house first, wanting to check on her, and then maybe visit Lin Muyu’s house afterward to see if everything was alright there too.
But as she was walking, her gaze suddenly landed on someone standing in the rain ahead of her, and her entire body froze for a second before a slow, evil smile curved on her lips.
The kind of smile that held hidden meaning even though she said nothing, and she immediately changed her direction and walked straight toward that person without hesitation.
Han Jue noticed her shift instantly, and when he also recognized the person she was walking toward, his own expression froze coldly.
And he silently followed beside her like a shadow, his posture turning sharp and intimidating, his aura exploding outward like a warning to everyone around them, telling them that this was his female and anyone who dared approach her without permission would have their neck torn off without mercy, so no one even dared to step close as he walked beside her like an intimidating man.
As Su Qinglan continued walking straight through the rain and after reaching the person, she immediately took a sweet tone that somehow sounded even more dangerous to Han Jue’s ears. "Mother, I am here to meet you."
Mu Lihua’s expression froze as she was immediately startled by Su Qinglan, who suddenly decided to greet her.
Did the moon and sun switch places today?
Did this bitch daughter suddenly grow a conscience?
Mu Lihua’s mind was a mess. After learning some tricks and medicine, this bitch daughter of hers had her nose almost in the sky.
Her eyes narrowed before she forced a stiff smile on her face that made her face wrinkled.
"Yes, my sweet daughter, you finally decided to visit your old mother... I thought you had forgotten these old bones."
Mu Lihua said loudly, gaining everyone’s attention. She was doing it purposely.
"Ahh, my daughter... it has been so many days... I could only listen about you from your father... you never came to see me... you are going to become a mother yourself, you should know how a mother feels without her child... how could you be so heartless..." She wiped some tears from her eyes.
And then, when she looked at Su Qinglan’s round belly, her heart twisted even harder.
How? HOW did this fat bitch get pregnant first?
Her own daughter was still not pregnant even after so long. Yet this useless, ungrateful, fat jinx actually got pregnant before all of them.
Mu Lihua felt like she could vomit blood from jealousy.
What kind of dog luck does this bitch have? She was supposed to stay barren. She was supposed to struggle.
Now she is pregnant this early while my own daughter still hasn’t given me a grandchild? Hmph. Truly a curse on my life.
Her fingers clenched so tightly her nails dug into her palm. She wanted to kick Su Qinglan right into the mud.
As long as this jinx exists, I will never have peace. She is a living curse.
But she forced herself to smile, a stiff, wrinkled, fake smile that made her look even more miserable.
Mu Lihua looked straight at Su Qinglan’s leaf raincoat, and jealousy burned so hot inside her that she felt dizzy.
This bitch daughter has so many good things and she never gave me even a scrap. Not even a piece of meat. Ungrateful jinx.
Let’s see how I make her spit out everything today.
