"Once we got back," Lin Muyu continued, "things didn’t slow down. Once a male gets a taste of a female, how can they restrain themselves? Both Wang Mo and Shi Kuang were like starving animals. We mated day and night for days."
She felt like she had barely caught her breath before she realized something was wrong. Her body felt different, and her appetite had changed. She was pregnant...already!
"It’s only been a few days! Now I have no idea who the father is. Was it the lion in the flowers or Wang Mo back at the house? They both worked so hard, I can’t even tell!" Lin Muyu cried.
After listening to the whole chaotic story, Bai Ling and Su Qinglan burst into loud laughter. Bai Ling doubled over, clutching her stomach as she pointed a teasing finger at her friend.
"So, you’re finally admitting it!" Bai Ling teased, her eyes dancing with mischief.
"You got swept away by that lion’s muscles! Not bad, Sister Muyu. I never thought you were the type to fall for hard muscles, but here we are. Now you have the best of both worlds...a caring husband like Wang Mo and a powerful husband like Shi Kuang. You really aren’t losing out at all!"
Su Qinglan giggled, nodding in agreement. "It seems Lin Muyu has really good taste. Those lion muscles really did the trick if you’re already pregnant!"
Lin Muyu huffed, trying to look annoyed, but her blush gave her away. "Oh, can you stop teasing me, both of you! I was just... rewarding him for saving my life! And Wang Mo... well, he didn’t want to be left behind, so he worked twice as hard. My back still aches!"
"We can see that!" Bai Ling laughed again. "You’re glowing so much, it’s a wonder the whole tribe hasn’t realized it yet."
Su Qinglan patted Lin Muyu’s hand gently. "In all seriousness, I’m happy for you. Having two strong men to protect you while you carry the cub is a blessing. Even if you don’t know who the father is, that cub is going to be loved by everyone."
Xiao San, still tucked away in Su Qinglan’s pocket, let out a tiny, muffled sneeze, as if trying to remind them that they had forgotten to take him out.
But he was already exhausted just from listening to the adults’ noisy drama. He couldn’t understand most of what was happening...why were they laughing so much?
Letting out a small yawn, he decided to take a nap. Maybe when he opened his eyes again, his father would be back.
"Alright, alright," Lin Muyu said, finally cooling down. "Since we’re all here, let’s go to the tribe leader’s house? I need to register my new husbands anyway, and Su Qinglan needs to check on her father."
The three females finally stepped out of the hut, but the peaceful atmosphere they expected was gone. Su Qinglan froze, her eyes widening at the scene in the clearing.
Standing in the center of clearing was the Lion King, Shi Feng.
He looked as tall and imposing as a mountain, but what shocked Su Qinglan was what he was holding. Her eldest cub, Xiao Yi, was nestled comfortably in the Lion King’s powerful arms.
Meanwhile, Rong Ye was standing right in front of him, clutching Xiao Er tightly and glaring at Shi Feng with eyes full of fire.
"Give him back," Rong Ye hissed, his muscles tensed as if he were ready to pounce.
And the small roasted fish he had been chewing on...a gift from the Lion King lost its luster the moment he saw his brother, Xiao Er, already being carried toward Su Qinglan.
