They arrived at a scene of total devastation.
Hu Yan was on his knees, letting out an agonizing scream that sounded like his soul was being ripped out of his chest.
The Fox Tribe was alive, but they were trembling and silent.
Xuan Long’s eyes darted around the clearing. Nothing. There was no trace of Su Qinglan. There was no scent, no blood, and not even a trace of a corpse.
She hadn’t died, because if she had, the explosion would have leveled the entire tribe. But she was gone.
But suddenly Xuan Long’s gaze met his. In that moment, his aura exploded with a cold, suffocating pressure as he saw An Mo hovering there.
Xuan Long didn’t hesitate. If anyone in this world had the capability to make a person disappear in a heartbeat, it was his own brother.
An Mo was very powerful, and tearing a portal would be simple for him. To Xuan Long, it was obvious: An Mo had seen his beautiful mate and stolen her, pretending to have arrived just now.
"You!" Xuan Long roared, lunging into the air with his claws aimed at An Mo’s throat.
An Mo dodged with a lazy, nonchalant tilt of his head. He looked angry, his hair waving in the air. "Brother Long, stop this madness! I told you, I just got here!"
"Liar!" Xuan Long growled, his voice vibrating with pure hatred. "You saw her, didn’t you? You saw how beautiful she was and you took her! Give her back, or I will kill you even if I have to burn my own soul to do it!"
Xuan Long was ready to die. He knew that in a real fight, An Mo was much slyer and more powerful.
An Mo was the kind of person who didn’t care about right or wrong; he was a pure devil at heart, a man who could outwit the elders of the upper domains without breaking a sweat.
If An Mo wanted to hide something, no one could find it.
An Mo’s eyebrow twitched with genuine irritation. "You think I have time to play hide and seek with your female? Look at this place! The space is cracked! I didn’t take her... she was snatched by a spatial rift!"
"Shut up!" Xuan Long attacked again, his movements frantic and fueled by grief. "You are the only one who could have done this! You’ve always been a thief, An Mo! Return my mate and my sons!"
Han Jue and the others watched from below, their faces pale. They wanted to help, but the pressure coming from the two brothers was so intense they could barely move.
"Is he telling the truth?" Shi Feng whispered, his voice trembling. "Did he take her?"
"It doesn’t matter," Han Jue hissed, his eyes fixed on the empty spot in the clearing. "If he has her, we will tear him apart. If he doesn’t, then where is she?"
An Mo laughed, a sharp, mocking sound, as he swatted Xuan Long’s hand away. "You are so blinded by your mate that you’ve lost your brain, Long. If I had stolen her, would I still be standing here talking to a grumpy snake like you? I would be halfway to the upper domain by now!"
Despite his nonchalant words, An Mo was actually quite careful.
He knew Xuan Long was truly desperate. He glanced at the ground, sensing the lingering essence of the teleportation.
He knew exactly what had happened, but looking at his brother’s murderous face, he felt like being a devil for just a little bit longer.
An Mo hovered in the air. He watched Xuan Long’s desperate struggle with a faint, mocking smile, clearly enjoying the way his brother was falling apart.
