Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off novel Chapter 413

Chapter 413: Chapter 413: Mommy Is Cooking! Cubs, Step Back!

Shi Feng walked over slowly, still holding the huge stone bowl in his hands. He looked curiously at the crab on the ground. He had never seen such a strange, big creature before. Its shell was hard and ugly.

Then he glanced at Su Qinglan. She was already squatting beside her basket, happily taking out fruits, vegetables, and leaves. Her movements were quick and full of energy, like she had found treasure.

Hu Yan stood nearby carrying the two large fishes. Their tails almost touched the ground. He also looked at the crab with doubt. This thing really looked more like a weapon than food.

Su Qinglan suddenly noticed Shi Feng and the big stone bowl in his hands. Her eyes lit up brightly. She quickly ran toward him.

"This is so good!" she said happily. "I was just thinking about making something like this. We can stew soup inside it. Today I will cook crab soup. I am really craving it!"

Shi Feng felt warm seeing her smile. He had made the stone bowl on a whim after hearing her say that the cave had nothing except one flat stone for cooking.

So he carved the first big bowl. Later, he planned to make smaller bowls, chopsticks, and maybe even stone plates. After all, their home looked too empty and poor.

He nodded seriously. "Don’t worry, Qinglan. I will make more. We will not lack bowls or chopsticks again."

She patted his arm happily. "Good! Hurry up then. I will cook this crab now. You will all see how delicious it is!"

Shi Feng looked at the crab again. Skinny legs. Hard shell. Not much visible meat. He honestly doubted it could taste good. But seeing her so excited, he only nodded again.

Su Qinglan turned back to the basket and pulled out several bananas. "Cubs, come here! Mommy brought something for you!"

The cubs immediately abandoned the "dead" crab and rushed over. Even Xiao San slithered quickly, his tiny tongue flicking curiously.

She peeled a banana and broke it into small pieces. "Taste it," she said gently.

The tiger twins chewed once and swallowed. Their eyes shone brightly. Sweet and soft. They immediately wanted more.

Only Xiao San licked the banana piece again and again but did not eat much. It seemed he did not like the texture.

Su Qinglan gently patted his little head. "Don’t worry. Mommy will bring something else for you next time. Now wait. Mommy will cook something very delicious."

Xiao San hissed happily and looked at the crab again. He was very curious how that huge hard thing would taste after cooking.

Soon, Su Qinglan stood up and began preparing to cook. She gathered dry wood and stacked it neatly in the fire pit inside the cave.

Shi Feng quickly helped her arrange stones around the fire to hold the new stone bowl steady. Hu Yan placed the fishes aside and cleaned them with sharp claws.

Su Qinglan struck two stones together. Sparks flew. After several tries, a small flame caught the dry grass. The fire slowly grew stronger, warm light filling the cave.

She washed the crab in clean water, then cracked its shell carefully with a stone. The sound echoed loudly. The crab, still pretending to be dead, truly felt doomed this time.

Then she added water into the stone bowl and set it over the fire.

She stirred everything quickly with a wooden stick. The eggs turned soft and fluffy. The tomatoes melted slightly, mixing into the yellow eggs.

A simple dish. Scrambled eggs with tomatoes.

Meanwhile, the three cubs were following her everywhere. They circled her legs, sniffing the air. Their eyes were wide and shining like hungry puppies.

Han Jue crouched beside the fire, carefully controlling the flames. He kept glancing down at the cubs moving between her legs.

He truly wanted to grab them and hold them away from danger. They were too close to the fire. But they only stared at the pan with longing eyes.

Hu Yan returned after finishing with the fish. He placed the two cleaned fish on a flat stone. Then he suddenly grabbed the two tiger cubs firmly.

With a serious face, he drew a line on the ground using a stick. "You are not allowed to cross this line," he warned.

Then he gently lifted Xiao San and placed him on Xiao Yi’s head. "You also stay here," he added firmly.

The cubs blinked. They looked at the line.

Then they looked at the pan. Their little hearts were torn between obedience and hunger.
