Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off novel Chapter 419

Chapter 419: Chapter 419: Caught in the Tub with My Overprotective Beast

Su Qinglan was so annoyed with the system’s teasing that she almost forgot she was still a human cushion for four heavy beastmen. In her frustration, she wiggled her legs, trying to shake off the embarrassment.

But she moved too much. Rong Ye, who had been sleeping soundly on her stomach, shifted.

His hand rolled down and firmly gripped her thigh. Still half-asleep and completely exhausted, he didn’t wake up. Instead, he nuzzled her leg, his face full of bliss.

"So sweet... so sweet... my female is so sweet..." he mumbled against her skin, his voice thick with sleep.

Su Qinglan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Is he dreaming about food or me? she wondered. And who on earth thinks a thigh tastes sweet? She didn’t want to wake the silly fox, so she moved very slowly.

She carefully lifted his head and slid a rolled-up animal skin under it so he could continue his sweet dreams on the stone bed instead of on her leg.

Once Rong Ye was settled, she looked down at her legs. Xuan Long’s thick, emerald snake tail was still coiled tightly around her ankles. It was cool and heavy.

She knew that snakes were incredibly sensitive to movement, and she was 100% sure that the moment she touched his tail, he would wake up.

She was right.

Before she could even reach down to nudge the scales, a pair of strong, cool arms suddenly circled her waist from behind. A deep, raspy voice vibrated against her back.

"Why did you wake up so soon? Sleep more. You must be tired."

Su Qinglan froze. She turned her head slightly to find Xuan Long looking at her with hazy, slit pupils. He looked incredibly satisfied, his usual cold expression replaced by a soft, lingering heat.

The memories of that...cough cough...from the night before flashed in her mind, and she immediately looked away, unable to meet his eyes.

"I... I need to go relive myself," she stammered, her voice small. "I can’t stay here."

Xuan Long didn’t question her anymore. He leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to her shoulder, which made her shiver.

"Okay," he whispered. He patiently uncoiled his tail from her legs and reached for a clean animal-skin hide to wrap around her shivering body. "Let me take you there."

Su Qinglan didn’t resist. Her legs felt like jelly, and she wasn’t sure she could even walk to the cave entrance on her own.

She let the "big snake" lead her out, feeling both shy and relieved to finally get out of that pile of snoring men.

Xuan Long shifted completely into his human form. He wrapped a small animal skin around his hips and immediately gathered Su Qinglan into his arms.

He smoothed her hair and rubbed her back gently, as if she were made of glass. Su Qinglan leaned into his cool chest, feeling comforted by his steady heartbeat.

He carried her out of the cave and into the dense bushes so she could relieve herself. Once she was finished, he moved to pick her up again.

"Go back and sleep," Xuan Long said, his voice low and protective. "You must be tired."

Su Qinglan shook her head. Now that she was outside in the fresh air, she felt much better.

Thanks to her Level 6 plant ability, her body was already healing itself. The aches in her waist were fading fast.

"Xuan Long... my waist really hurts," she murmured softly, curling against him like a pampered kitten.

"Could you rub here? It’s still so sore," she added in a gentle whisper against his chest.

"Mmm," Xuan Long responded with a low rumble.

Xuan Long’s fingers pressed firmly into her lower back, slow and deliberate, kneading away the lingering ache. The warm water rippled around them, steam curling into the cool morning air.

"Here?" he asked softly, his voice rough but controlled.

"Yes... just there," Su Qinglan breathed, melting further against him. Her fingers clutched his forearm as another wave of relief spread through her waist. "You’re too good at this..."

A faint huff of amusement left his chest. "Of course. I remember every place your body reacts to."

His thumbs traced careful circles along her spine, firm yet gentle, easing the tightness from the long night before. The tension in his shoulders was obvious, but he held himself back, focusing only on her comfort.

Su Qinglan tilted her head, brushing her cheek against his collarbone. "Don’t look at me like that," she muttered shyly.

"Like what?" he murmured near her ear.

"Like you’re about to swallow me whole."

His arms tightened slightly around her waist, his breath warm against her damp hair. "If I truly wished to, you wouldn’t be able to escape."
