In her sleep, Su Qinglan felt something warm and sticky coating her fingers.

"Baby..." she murmured groggily, her eyes still squeezed shut. "Did you wet the bed again?"

Shi Feng, who was still floating in a cloud of pure bliss, felt like he had been doused with ice water. His eyes snapped open, and his face turned a deep, bruised purple from sheer embarrassment.

Did he just get accused of wetting the bed?

"You think I... I would never!" he whispered hoarsely, though he was so flustered his voice cracked.

He sat up abruptly, his heart racing as he looked down at Su Qinglan. He checked her face from every angle, praying to the beast gods that she was still asleep.

Her eyes were still closed, but her hand, the one covered in the evidence of his climax, was held up in the air as if she were waiting for a cloth.

The sight of her small hand covered in his mess made Shi Feng’s brain melt. If she woke up now and thought he had actually "wet the bed" like a toddler, he would never be able to show his face in the tribe again. The other husbands would laugh him out of the forest!

Panicked, he scrambled to his feet. He grabbed a clean piece of soft animal hide and reached for her hand.

As he finished cleaning her and tucked her hand back under his fur cloak, he let out a long, shaky sigh of relief. He looked at Su Qinglan, who was now snoring softly, completely unaware of the crisis she had just caused.

He lay back down, hoping to finally get some peaceful sleep after the chaos. But the moment his head hit the bed, the "sleeping" female in his arms moved.

Before he could even blink, he was pinned to the bed. Su Qinglan straddled his waist, her weight pressing him down, and her green eyes sparkled with a mischievous, wide awake light.

Shi Feng was so shocked he almost let out a high-pitched scream. He looked at her with a bewildered expression, his mouth hanging open. "Lanlan... you’re awake?"

Su Qinglan let out a bubbly laugh, leaning closer to his face.

"Of course I am! Did you think a ghost was giving you such a good time all afternoon?"

Shi Feng’s face turned bright red. He felt incredibly stupid. Her acting had been so perfect that he truly believed she was dreaming about the cubs.

He realized now that he had been played from the very beginning.

No wonder she always called him a "silly lion."

"So," she whispered, her voice full of amusement. "Did you really wet the bed?"

"Lanlan!" he squeaked, his voice cracking. "I didn’t! I would never!"

Su Qinglan leaned down, her lips brushing against his ear as she whispered, "You did wet it. You just did it right in my hand."
