Clumsy Beast, Keep Your Paws Off novel Chapter 532

Chapter 532: Chapter 532: Saved Before the Point of No Return

Rong Ye remained kneeling on the cold ground, his body trembling without control.

The tears had not stopped; instead, they fell even more fiercely now, soaking his face and dripping onto the ground beneath him.

His shoulders shook again and again, his breathing uneven and broken, as if every breath carried a weight too heavy for him to bear.

The madness from before had faded, but what replaced it was far worse.

Guilt pressed down on him like a mountain, suffocating and inescapable. And along with it came a deep, burning shame...so overwhelming that he could not even lift his head.

He did not dare to look at An Mo. He did not dare to meet anyone’s eyes. It felt as though just being seen like this would expose every ugly thought he had just harbored.

He felt filthy and pathetic.

After everything that had just happened, after realizing what he had almost done, Rong Ye could not even imagine how he would face Su Qinglan again.

How could he stand before her as if nothing had happened? How could he look into her eyes, knowing that he had almost abandoned her without a second thought?

He had nearly left her alone in this world.

That thought alone made his chest tighten painfully, as if something inside him was being torn apart. His fingers clenched unconsciously, nails digging into his palms, yet he felt none of it.

And then...

A voice reached him.

"Rong Ye..."

His entire body froze.

For a moment, he did not move at all. His mind went blank, as if it could not process what he had just heard. It felt unreal, like an illusion born from his own longing.

How could she be here? How could her voice appear in a place like this?

But before he could even think further, a warm figure rushed toward him.

In the next instant, he was pulled into a soft embrace.

Su Qinglan wrapped her arms around him tightly, holding him without hesitation. Her familiar warmth surrounded him, her gentle presence breaking through the darkness that had engulfed him moments before.

One of her hands moved up, softly stroking his hair again and again, as if trying to comfort him through touch alone.

"Rong Ye... what happened?" Her voice trembled with worry as she looked at him.

"Why are you crying like this? Did something bad happen?"

Her questions came one after another, filled with concern, her eyes searching his face anxiously.

Rong Ye was completely stunned.

He could not react. He could not even make a sound.

He simply sat there, frozen in her arms, as if his entire being had been turned to stone. All he could feel was her warmth, her touch, the steady rhythm of her breathing so close to him.

She was here.

She was really here.

Right in front of him.

Her fingers gently wiped away the tears on his face, as if he were something fragile that might break at any moment.

"Truly a fool..." he muttered under his breath, his voice low.

"He has someone who loves him so much... yet he still wanted to throw his life away."

For a brief moment, a strange emotion flickered in his eyes...something deep and unreadable, something that passed just as quickly as it appeared.

Then, without another word, he turned and walked out of the cave.

As he stepped outside, his voice drifted back faintly, almost like a quiet whisper lost in the air.

"Some people are drowning in love... while someone like me cannot even get a single drop."

His figure soon disappeared into the distance.

Inside the cave, Xuan Long remained where he stood, silently observing everything. His gaze moved from Rong Ye to Su Qinglan, then to the direction An Mo had left. He understood enough without needing words.

And looking at Rong Ye’s current state, he knew one thing for certain.

This was not something others should witness.

For someone like Rong Ye, being seen in such a broken state would only deepen his pain.

Quietly, Xuan Long exhaled, then turned and followed An Mo out of the cave, leaving the space behind for the two of them alone.

The cave fell into a gentle silence once more, broken only by the sound of soft, uneven sobs.

Su Qinglan continued to hold Rong Ye close, her hand moving through his hair again and again, patient and careful.

She did not rush him, did not force him to speak. She simply stayed by his side, offering warmth and comfort in the only way she could.
