The next day arrived with bright sunlight streaming into the house.
Su Qinglan woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy. When she washed her face and looked at herself in the water, even she was surprised.
Her face looked even more radiant than usual. Her skin was glowing so much that it seemed like one could squeeze her cheeks and water would drip out. She looked healthy and beautiful, with a gentle shine in her eyes.
The three cubs noticed it immediately. They stared at their mother with wide, sparkling eyes, as if looking at a fairy.
"Mommy is so pretty today!" Xiao Er said, rushing over.
"Mommy looks like she is shining!" Xiao San said, in his mind, the shining crystals and his mother are the most beautiful things.
Shi Feng, who was nearby, let out a soft laugh. "Have you cubs fallen in love with your mommy all over again?" he asked in a teasing voice.
The cubs nodded their heads eagerly without any shame.
They all clung to Su Qinglan’s legs tightly, rubbing their small faces against her.
Su Qinglan smiled warmly and bent down as much as her large belly allowed. She kissed each cub on the forehead and cheeks, smoothing their soft hair with gentle hands.
"My good babies," she said softly. "Mommy loves you too."
After getting their morning kisses and hugs, the cubs giggled happily and ran outside to play with their short but energetic legs.
Su Qinglan watches them go and mutters to herself, "The cubs surely know how to sweet talk at such a young age."
Everyone gathered for breakfast. The table was full of the leftover dishes from last night, warmed up nicely along with fresh rice porridge.
All the men had good expressions on their faces. They looked relaxed and happy. Even the cubs were in an excellent mood, laughing and chatting while eating.
Su Qinglan could not help but smile as she watched them. She felt blessed deep inside. After so many difficulties, having such a warm and harmonious family was truly precious.
After breakfast, Su Qinglan helped clean everything. Once the house was tidy, she went back to her room and sat down comfortably.
She closed her eyes for a moment and opened the system space. One by one, she took out all the rewards she had received.
First, she pulled out many small bags of seeds. She opened them carefully and checked what was inside.
Although she did not know much about farming, she had basic knowledge from her previous world. Thankfully, her plant-type ability helped her sense the life force in each seed.
"This is Chinese cabbage seeds," she muttered, recognizing the small round seeds.
"These are carrot seeds... spinach... chilies... tomatoes... onion... and peas." She counted almost seven or eight different types of vegetable seeds. For grains, there were wheat, corn, and rice seeds.
"Everyone says winter here is very harsh," she thought out loud. "It lasts almost four months, and snow can bury entire houses. We must prepare well."
Xuyu agreed. "Yes, Host. That is why farming is important. You can grow vegetables now and pickle some for winter storage. It will help your family and the tribe survive better."
Su Qinglan felt motivated. She was not planning to plant in the current wooden house area. Instead, she would do it around their new stone house.
The assigned area for the fox tribe was quite large, with houses spaced apart nicely. She could fence the backyard of their stone house and turn it into a proper vegetable garden.
She carefully put all the seed bags back into the system space for safekeeping. Next, she took out the farming tools. There were strong hoes, shovels, rakes, and special tools for rice fields and larger-scale planting.
Some were big and sturdy, clearly made for beastmen’s powerful strength. She listed them in her mind and examined each one.
"These tools are excellent," she said with satisfaction. "With these and the men’s help, we can clear the land quickly."
After checking everything, Su Qinglan stored the tools away and stood up. Her belly felt a bit heavy, but her mood was light and excited. She had a clear plan now. First, she would talk to the men and start preparing the land near the new stone house.
She walked out of the room and went looking for Hu Yan. He was outside, creating some bowl under the sunlight. His tall and strong figure looked focused as he worked.
"Hu Yan," Su Qinglan called gently.
