Su Qinglan returned with An Mo, but she did not rush straight to the battlefield.
An Mo had already told her clearly that she could rest assured. He was enough to handle the situation there.
The first thing she did was to look for Shi Feng.
An Mo looked at her and spoke in a steady voice. "You have to hold on, right? We still need to save others. Why don’t you go and take care of Shi Feng first? I will bring the others to you too."
Su Qinglan looked at An Mo.
Tears filled her eyes.
She suddenly said with a trembling voice, "Thank you..."
An Mo smiled. It was the most generous and warm smile she had ever seen on his face.
But then he quickly waved his hand in front of her, as if he could not accept her thanks at all.
"Don’t, don’t. I will just help Xuan Long. It is my duty."
After saying that, he turned around and ran away quickly, disappearing from her sight.
Su Qinglan smiled only a little. Her lips trembled. Then she rushed inside the strange house.
When she entered the room, the old healer was sitting there with furrowed brows. He was carefully treating the injuries on Shi Feng’s body.
The gruesome wounds made Shi Feng completely unconscious. The treatment was having only a little effect.
Two beast brothers stood on the side, helping the old healer by passing medicines and cleaning the blood.
Su Qinglan felt her heart clench hard when she saw Shi Feng’s condition.
Especially the huge gash on his abdomen. It was so deep that his internal organs were visible. Blood kept flowing out without stopping.
The sight made her suffocate with anger and pain. She could not breathe properly. Her eyes turned red instantly.
She rushed forward without thinking and held Shi Feng’s cold hand tightly.
She whispered in a broken voice, "Shi Feng... what happened to you? How did you become like this?"
The old healer looked up and was stunned when he saw Su Qinglan. His eyes widened.
"Granddaughter, you have finally come! Save your beast husband quickly. He will not make it if you don’t save him now."
Su Qinglan nodded firmly. Without wasting any time, her healing energy started flowing from her body into Shi Feng. The warm green light covered his body softly.
The old healer knew it was the right moment. He stood up and said to the two beast brothers, "You both wait outside. Don’t disturb her."
The two brothers nodded and left the room quietly, closing the door behind them.
Soon, the old healer returned to the room. He looked at the beastman lying on the stone bed. The man was resting peacefully now.
The old healer breathed a sigh of relief. He knew how powerful his granddaughter’s healing ability was. She could bring someone back from the dead if she tried hard enough. And here was the proof. Shi Feng’s life was saved.
"Thank Beast God," the old healer muttered. "I did the right thing by sending the two brothers away."
But when he looked at his granddaughter’s broken figure, his heart felt strained. She looked so tired and sad, leaning on Shi Feng with tears still on her face. He knew everything that had happened to the family. He had seen all the pain and loss with his own eyes. He sat down on his stone stool and prayed silently in his heart.
"Beast God, please give strength to my granddaughter. She needs to get through this difficult time. Please protect her and her family."
Both of them were lost in their own thoughts when suddenly a small snake slithered inside the house quietly.
In the next moment, it transformed back into its human form. It was a little cub.
"Mommy!" the cub cried out loudly.
Su Qinglan immediately looked up. Her eyes widened. It felt like she had heard her Xiao San’s voice.
But how could he be here?
Was she dreaming?
The cub called again, "Mommy!" He trotted over quickly on his small legs and fell in front of her.
