Xuan Long sat on the grand throne with the same white robe flowing over his body.
If one looked closely, golden patterns could be seen embroidered on it. These patterns were the symbol and status of the Clan Master of the Teng Clan, representing the highest authority.
Only the Clan Master was allowed to wear this robe with these colors and symbols.
As he sat there, all the elders and disciples saluted him at once.
Yet Xuan Long only gave them a nonchalant glance, not bothering to respond even with a single word.
The elders, who were much older than him, felt their faces stiffen with discomfort. They had wanted someone truly powerful to lead their clan, but they did not want a member of the younger generation trampling on their pride.
Still, what could they do? He had been born into this position, and his power far surpassed theirs. They could do nothing but tolerate his presence in silence.
Xuan Long felt a faint amusement rise inside him as he watched their forced respect.
Finally, one elder stepped forward with hesitation and decided to raise his suggestion.
"Clan Master should let Elder Siyan out of the dungeon. He must have atoned for his sin..."
Before the elder could finish his sentence, Xuan Long smiled. It was a cold, dangerous smile that carried no warmth.
"Do you want to join him?"
The elder was stunned. He almost dropped to his knees in fright.
He would not dare. Was he sick in his mind?
Just to get Teng Siyan out of that place, would he offer himself instead? Definitely not.
The elder shuddered and dared not say another word.
Xuan Long felt even more amused just by looking at the man’s terrified face. In his mind, there was only one word: pathetic... Truly pathetic.
His cold emerald eyes then swept across all the elders present in the hall.
"Does anyone have another suggestion? I would truly grant it."
Everyone shuddered at his words. None of them dared to speak.
Who would dare challenge this man who had clearly lost all sanity?
They had already seen what happened. The tension was unbearable.
Teng Siyan had been paraded through the entire Teng Manor. His dignity had been completely snatched away. There was almost nothing he had not suffered under Xuan Long’s hands.
Now he was rotting in the most dangerous place, completely under this demon’s command.
They truly wondered if Teng Siyan could ever come out of that dungeon alive without losing an entire layer of his skin.
Xuan Long was finally impressed by their silent expressions. It seemed these fools had finally gained some brains for themselves.
He leaned back on the throne, his white and gold robe shifting slightly, the aura around him dark and oppressive like a demon who ruled over life and death.
His face remained calm and indifferent, yet every person in the hall could feel the cold-blooded ruthlessness hidden beneath that stillness.
He was not a leader who forgave or showed mercy. He was the kind of man who would crush anyone without hesitation if they crossed him.
Just as Xuan Long stood up from the throne to leave, a servant of the Teng Clan suddenly came out from the front door and dropped to his knees in front of him.
"Clan Master, someone has arrived from Bao Clan. The young lady has rushed here to see the Clan Master."
Xuan Long was stunned for a moment. He did not know any young lady. He had not stepped into this domain for such a long time.
Why would someone come looking for him now?
His sharp gaze immediately fell on the elders of the Teng Clan.
All of them suddenly looked away, none daring to meet his eyes. Xuan Long narrowed his eyes. He felt that something was definitely wrong here.
Before he could speak, the servant continued. "It is your female master."
The elder of the Teng Clan felt so angry that he wanted to slap the servant right there.
Could this fool not shut his mouth?
Speaking such nonsense in front of Xuan Long was asking for death.
With Xuan Long’s terrible temper, it would be a miracle if any of them walked out of this hall alive. Everyone’s faces turned pale with fear.
