An Mo walked back into the main pavilion of his grand residence, his footsteps lighter than they had been in centuries.
The old housekeeper was already waiting there, surrounded by a few trusted subordinates. Rows of open jade chests filled with glittering crystal cores, rare pearls, and ancient artifacts lined the marble floor.
"Lord An Mo", the old servant bowed deeply.
"As requested, I have unearthed the finest treasures from our northern vaults. Please inspect them."
An Mo didn’t even look at the priceless weapons or the glowing spirit stones. He swept his hand over the chests dismissively.
"No, no, this won’t do at all," An Mo said, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
"Take these back. Uncle, you need to redecorate the entire residence. We need to make it a place that a female would absolutely love."
The old servant froze mid-bow. He slowly raised his head, his jaw slightly slack, staring at his young master with a completely stunned, unblinking expression.
Seeing the old man staring at him like he had grown a second head, An Mo jerked his shoulders, his golden eyes flashing with a hint of embarrassment.
"Uncle! Why are you looking at me like that?" An Mo huffed, crossing his arms defensively.
"Of course, you have to prepare this place for my female! She will be coming here in the future."
The old servant’s eyes went even wider. "A... a female master? Lord An Mo, have you truly found your fated mate?"
"Naturally," An Mo muttered, a proud, smug smile instantly replacing his defensiveness.
He began pacing around the hall, gesturing wildly with his hands. "She is... she is incredibly special, Uncle. You have no idea. She is so adorable. Sometimes she has this sharp, haughty wit that completely challenges me, and other times she gets so shy her face turns as red as a cherry tomato. But her heart is pure life energy. So, we must understand what her taste is like and match it perfectly."
The housekeeper quickly pulled out a blank jade scroll, his hands trembling with excitement as he prepared to take notes. "Please instruct me, Lord."
"First of all, flowers," An Mo ordered, pointing out towards the empty, stark stone courtyard.
"Fill the gardens with flowers. Not just any flowers...bring the sweetest, most vibrant spiritual blooms from the Southern Valleys. I want her to smell a beautiful fragrance the moment she steps inside."
"Understood. Rare flora for the courtyard," the old man mumbled, writing furiously.
"And the rooms!" An Mo suddenly stopped pacing, a look of panic crossing his handsome face.
"Prepare the best room in the residence. No, wait... scratch that. Change my personal bedroom decoration entirely according to her taste! Rip out those heavy, dark curtains. Replace them with soft, warm silks. Bring in the plushies...lots of soft, comfortable cushions. I want the bed to be like a warm cloud."
The old servant’s mouth twitched, trying desperately to imagine his terrifying, cold-blooded master sleeping in a bed filled with soft cushions and bright silks.
An Mo didn’t notice the old man’s internal crisis. He was completely caught up in his own world, constantly chatting and pointing at everything in sight.
"Change this wall carving; it’s too aggressive. Change that lighting; it’s too harsh. Bring in those glowing moon gems to create a soft, warm ambience at night. Oh, and the kitchen! Make sure it is stocked with the finest herbs from the lower domains."
"Yes, Lord... change the weapons, add moon gems..." the housekeeper muttered, his head spinning from the non-stop commands.
