While waiting on the frozen riverbank for the cubs to bring back Hu Yan or Han Jue, Su Qinglan and Xuan Long stood quietly in the crisp afternoon air.

Suddenly, a faint, muffled rustling sound drifted through the chilly air.

Su Qinglan’s ears immediately perked up. She turned her head, blinking in surprise, and looked back at Xuan Long.

"Is someone else out here?" she whispered, gesturing towards a thick cluster of snow-covered boulders and frozen bushes just a short distance down the riverbank.

Xuan Long’s dark eyes narrowed slightly as he scanned the area, but seeing no immediate danger to his female, his gaze quickly returned to her face.

He didn’t really care who else was in the forest, as long as he could stay close to his petite female.

Driven by pure curiosity, Su Qinglan took soft, quiet steps towards the direction of the noise, crouching slightly behind a large rock. Xuan Long silently followed her like a tall, protective shadow.

When Su Qinglan peeked around the side of the boulder, her eyes instantly lit up and began to twinkle with absolute delight. She quickly raised a hand to cover her mouth to suppress a sudden giggle.

Right there in the snow, completely hidden from the main path, were two familiar figures. It was none other than her carefree little sister, Lan Yue, and a tall, fine-looking young beastman!

Looking closely at his defining features, Su Qinglan felt a strong sense of familiarity.

’Wait, isn’t that Tu Yelang? The rabbit beastman from the rabbit tribe?’ she realised, her inner matchmaker instantly waking up.

The atmosphere between the two young people was incredibly chaotic.

Just a second ago, Lan Yue had been aggressively pulled into a sudden, clumsy kiss. Her eyes had widened to the size of saucers, and her entire face instantly flushed a violent, burning red.

Pushing against his chest, she immediately yanked herself away from him, panting for air as she stared at the young rabbit-beastman in utter shock.

"You! What on earth do you think you are doing?!" Lan Yue squeaked, her voice cracking with embarrassment as she furiously wiped her mouth.

"I only agreed to come out and eat grilled fish with you today! When did I give you permission to just kiss me?!"

Tu Yelang stood there in the snow, looking completely bewildered. His long, fluffy rabbit ears twitched nervously, dropping slightly against his silver-white hair.

He scratched his cheek, looking at her blushing, angry figure with a genuinely confused expression.

"But... you literally asked me to kiss you just a minute ago," Tu Yelang muttered, his voice full of clumsy innocence.

Lan Yue felt like her brain was short-circuiting. "What?! When did I ever ask you to do that? Are you out of your mind?!"

The truth was, Tu Yelang had completely and utterly misunderstood the situation.

Earlier, while they were preparing the firewood to grill the fish, a little bit of dark charcoal paste had accidentally smudged onto the corner of Lan Yue’s soft lips.

Not realising it, Lan Yue had turned her face towards him, pointed a finger at her mouth, and casually asked, "Hey, is there something on my lips?"
