Knocking on the wooden gate, she called out cheerfully the moment the door began to swing open, "Lan Yue! Look, your big sister is back..."

"Isn’t it obvious what he’s doing here?" She turned a warm, teasing smile back toward Tu Yelang. "So, you’ve officially become my little brother-in-law now, right?"

Tu Yelang’s ears instantly flamed bright red. Blushing furiously, he stepped aside and hastily invited them in. "P-Please come inside!"

Hearing the commotion, Lan Yue bounded out of the inner room with a bright smile. "Sister Qinglan!"

Overjoyed, Lan Yue threw herself right into Su Qinglan’s arms for a big hug. She had missed her sister so much.

Tu Yelang’s eyes widened in sheer panic. He instinctively reached out his hands as if to catch Lan Yue mid-air, his face pale with anxiety.
