“Is she here? Come in, the operation will be starting now.” Matt spoke through a side door. 

Just as she was about to walk past Maverick, he pulled her back and kissed her. “I’ll wait here for you.” 

Jeslyn smiled. “Ok,” she hugged him one last time before leaving. 

“Is she not angry?” Celestine asked in bewilderment. 

“No, she’s reasonable and not senselessly prideful, Rex replied while sniffing Celestine’s hair.
