Anna’s POV

Roman’s hands moved to the front of my dress, buttoning the top button I had not even realized was undone. My ass stung as I shifted, a constant reminder of everything that had just happened.
I pressed again. “You’re really not going to tell me how many women you’ve done this for?”
This time he smirked. “I don’t have to lie to you, Anna. I already fold you that a lot of what I’m doing with you is a first for me.”
He expected me to believe him? He was a clear womanizer and a liar. The kind of man who knew exactly how to play
women.
“Right. And I’m sure you’ve never made any other woman beg before.”
“I didn’t say that.” A wicked smile curved his lips, though it did not quite reach his eyes. “I’ve made plenty of women beg. I just haven’t tied them up in my office and left them desperate afterward.”
“How magnanimous of you.”
“I thought so.” His fingers lingered on the button. “Usually I finish what I start.”
“Then why didn’t you?”
“Because you need to learn patience. Control.” His thumb brushed the hollow of my throat. “You need to understand what it would be like if you surrendered to me. How I would take care of you. How I would make you feel.”
“I haven’t agreed to surrender to you.”
“I know.” His eyes held mine. “But you will.”
“You’re delusional.”
“Am I? Your body is already halfway there, Anna. It’s just your stubborn mind that’s holding out.”
He leaned closer. “And I have all the patience in the world to wait for it to catch up.”
I almost rolled my eyes, but I caught the warning glare in his.
“You know better than that. Or are you doing this on purpose? Hoping for a repeat performance?”
His fingers were still working on my dress, smoothing the fabric over my hips.
“Because I’d be happy to bend you over again. This time I’ll make sure you’re thoroughly reminded of what you’re refusing.”
“Don’t flatter yourself.”
“I don’t need to. You do that for me.” He stepped back, admiring his handiwork. “There. Presentable. Almost like you weren’t falling apart under my hands minutes ago.”
“You’re insufferable.”
“And you’re still here.” He walked around his desk, putting distance between us. “Still trembling, flushed, and wanting
I opened my mouth to fire back when he spoke again, almost casually.

Chapter 120
“Have dinner with me.”
I blinked, thrown completely off balance. “What?”
“Dinner. Tomorrow evening.” A slight smile played on his lips. “I promise, no spanking.”
He thought it was funny.

The absurd thing was, part of me did too. Part of me wanted to laugh at how we had gone from him tying me up to casually asking me to dinner.
But I was too angry, too humiliated to indulge him.
“No.”
His eyebrow rose. “No?”
“No.” I crossed my arms, ignoring the renewed sting in my ass. “I have plans.”
“Plans.” His eyes narrowed. “What kind of plans? With who?”
The shift in his demeanor was subtle but noticeable. The playful arrogance dimmed, replaced by an edge of possession.
“Before you go all macho man, it’s an arrangement with Zoe.”
“Zoe.” He repeated the name slowly. “Your best friend from Zetrov’s party?”
He remembered. “Yes. That Zoe.”
“I remember her.” His eyes stayed locked on mine.
“We’ve had this planned for weeks.” The lie slipped out easily, but I could see him processing it.
“Weeks.” He moved around the desk toward me. “That’s convenient.”
“It’s the truth.”
I couldn’t tell him it was actually with Laurent. He would be so jealous, and I would not put it past him to march over to Laurent’s office to make a scene or even show up at the restaurant.
“Is it?” He tilted his head. “Or are you using your best friend as an excuse to avoid me?”
“Maybe I’m doing both.” I lifted my chin. “Not that it matters. I have plans, and I’m keeping them.”
“Where are you both going?”
“None of your business.”
“Everything that concerns you is my priority and my business.” He stepped closer. “So where?”
He acted like he owned me. Like he had any right to know where I was going or who I was seeing. He did not own me. And ! needed to make that clear.
“I’m not telling you.”
He scowled. “You need to stop being stubborn.”
“I’m not telling you because I wouldn’t put it past you to show up and ruin it The words came out before I could stop thein

Chapter 120
His smile turned wicked. “Smart girl. You’re learning.”
“So you admit you would crash my dinner?”

“I admit that I don’t like the idea of you spending your evening with anyone who isn’t me.” His hand found my waist. “Even if it’s just your best friend.”
“That’s insane.”
“That’s honest.” He pulled me closer. “I want your time, Anna. Your attention. Your focus. And I’m not particularly good at sharing.”
“I haven’t agreed to give you any of those things.”
“Not yet.” His thumb stroked my hip. “But you will.”
“You keep saying that.”
“Because it’s true. You’re fighting this because you’re scared. Because you know that once you surrender, once you give yourself to me completely, there’s no going back.”
“You’re so sure of yourself.”
“I’m sure of us.” His other hand cupped my face. “I’m sure of what I feel when I touch you. What you feel when I touch you. Everything else is just noise.”
“It’s not noise. It’s reality.” I tried to step back, but his grip held firm. “You’re my boss. This is complicated. Wrong.”
“I own the company, so I make the rules.” He leaned in, his lips brushing my ear. “Have dinner with me, Anna. Let me take you somewhere nice. Let me show you what it would be like.”
“What would be like?”
“Being mine.” The words were a dark promise. “Completely. Without reservation or fear.”
My heart hammered against my ribs. Part of me wanted to say yes, to give in to the magnetic pull between us.
