Chapter 75: To New Experiences
Anna’s POV
Laurent’s hand rested on the small of my back as he guided me through the crowd. The music thumped so loud I felt it in my bones, pulsing through my chest.
I took in the club slowly, my eyes adjusting to the dim lighting.
Every corner reeked of wealth, security everywhere in tailored suits. It smelled like expensive cologne instead of sweat and beer, nothing like the clubs Zoe dragged me to.
The lights changed suddenly, getting brighter and bathing everything in amber.
That’s when I saw them.
Girls walked past in lingerie, their bodies barely covered. Some wore nothing but lace and heels, breasts spilling out, nipples hard and visible through sheer fabric. One girl wore only a g-string, her body completely on display as she walked by, totally comfortable.
Men danced shirtless in briefs, bodies toned and oiled, bulges obvious as they ground against partners who seemed just as exposed. One man had his hand down a woman’s panties right there on the dance floor. Her head was thrown back, mouth open.
Oh my God.
Heat flooded my face. I looked away quickly, but there was nowhere safe to look.
People kissed openly, touched each other without shame. A woman was bent over a couch while a man pressed against her from behind, hands gripping her hips and pulling her back. I could see his hips moving, thrusting against her.
Everything was so exposed. So open. So raw. I had never imagined a place like this existed, not in real life.
My body felt hot, flushed. I didn’t know if I was aroused or terrified. Maybe both.
“Anna?”
Laurent’s voice pulled me back. His hand squeezed my waist, fingers spreading across my bare skin where my dress was cut away.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” My voice came out breathy, higher than normal. “Just taking it all in.”
His eyes dropped to my lips, then lower to my chest.
“I don’t know if I’ve told you this,” he gestured to me, “but that dress… God, Anna, you look incredibly ravishing.”
Heat crept up my neck. “Thank you.”
“It’s a lot, I know.” His thumb rubbed circles on my waist. “But these are high-profile people. Very discreet. Very safe.”
I glanced around again and spotted a face I recognized, an actress from a show I watched. She was sitting on a man’s lap, kissing him deeply, her dress pushed up around her thighs. His hand was between her legs, moving. I could see his fingers working, could hear her soft gasps.
Oh… my…
“Anna?”
Laurent broke through the haze. His hand slid lower on my back, sensing how tense I was.
“I’m okay.” The lie came easy. My heart raced, my body reacting to everything around me in ways I didn’t expect. “It’s just a new scene for me.”
“I understand.” He guided me toward a private area with plush couches and low tables. “If it’s too much, we can leave soon. Just say the word.”

Chapter 75: To New Experiences
I nodded, grateful he wasn’t pushing.
But the writer in me was curious, itching to see more, to understand the world he was pulling me into.
“Come.” Laurent tugged my hand, tightening his grip. “I want you to meet some friends.”
I nodded and followed him toward a staircase guarded by two large men in black suits. Laurent murmured something I couldn’t hear over the music. They stepped aside immediately, letting us through.
The VIP area was more controlled than the main floor. Fewer people. Dimmer lighting. Private booths where couples kissed passionately, hands wandering over each other’s bodies.
He led me to a table where three people sat, two men and a woman. They looked up as we approached, smiles spreading across their faces like they’d been waiting.
“Laurent!”
One of the men stood, greeting him with a handshake and a pat on the back. He was tall, well-built, and handsome.
“It’s been too long, mon ami. Welcome to New York.”
“Pierre, good to see you.” Laurent gestured to me, his hand still possessive on my waist. “This is Anna.”
Pierre’s eyes swept over me, starting at my face, then trailing down slowly, taking in every curve before traveling back up.
The look was hungry, invasive.
“Anna.”
He stepped closer, swallowing the space between us. He reached for my hand.
“Enchantée.”
He brought my hand to his lips, kissing it softly. Then his tongue darted out for just a second, tasting my skin.
My breath hitched.
What the hell?
His eyes never left mine, watching my reaction.
I yanked my hand back quickly, my heart pounding.
The woman stood too, moving toward me with a smile that was both friendly and unsettling. She was stunning, tall, with black hair and a body that looked like it belonged on runways. Her dress was so sheer I could see everything. Her breasts were full and high, nipples dusky and hard against the transparent fabric. Her stomach was toned, leading down to a tiny thong that barely covered anything.
“I’m Celeste.”
She reached out, but instead of shaking my hand, she touched my hair. Her fingers ran through it slowly, sensually.
“Oh, your hair is so soft. Like silk. Beautiful.”
Her touch was too intimate, too invasive, just like Pierre’s.
I tensed, my body not knowing how to react.
“And this is my boyfriend, Marcus.”
She gestured to the other man watching me. He was muscular, shirtless under an open blazer. Unlike the others, he kept his distance.
“Lovely to meet you, Anna.” He nodded politely and didn’t reach for me. “Very lovely indeed.”
They all stared at me.
Like predators about to feast.
Laurent must have sensed my discomfort. He stepped closer, his hand tightening on my waist.

Chapter 75 To New Experiences
“Anna’s not really into all of this. It’s her first time in a club like this.”
Pierre’s eyebrows rose, interest sparking in his eyes.
“First time?”
He stretched the words out, insinuating something.
I dismissed it in my mind. These were just rich, strange people.
“Is that true, Anna?”
“Yes,” I managed to say.
“A newcomer to this world.”
Marcus’s smile widened.
“How delightful.”
I felt uneasy, like they could see right through everything I was trying to hide.
“I’ve been to clubs like this all over Europe.” Laurent’s tone was firm now, protective. “I know the culture. Be respectful.”
He looked down at me, his eyes searching my face.
“You’re doing great, Anna. You’re perfect.”
I didn’t feel any romantic feelings toward Laurent, not yet anyway. But the thoughtfulness, the protection, made me feel safe, at least in this moment.
“Of course.”
Celeste finally dropped her hand from my hair. Her fingers trailed down my arm before letting go.
“We apologize if we seemed too forward. That wasn’t our intention.”
She sat back down, patting the couch beside her.
“Please, sit. This club is about exploring desires people would judge outside these walls. Desires we hide during the day. Take your time. Warm up to it.”
I sat carefully. Laurent sat beside me, his hand resting on my knee, warm and firm through the thin fabric of my dress.
“I was the same when I first got here,” Celeste said.
She leaned forward, her breasts swaying with the movement. I forced my eyes to stay on her face.
“I was nervous, shy, scared even. My ex-husband called me cold. Can you imagine? After ten years of marriage, he cheated and blamed me.”
Her laugh was bitter.
“I came here to prove him wrong. To find my power again.”
“Did you?” The question slipped out before I could stop it.
Her smile turned feline.
“Oh yes. I found everything I was looking for and more.”
Her eyes shifted to Marcus, then back to me.
“This place gives you permission to be exactly who you want to be. No shame. No judgment.”
“I’m glad you found what you needed.”
She smiled warmly. Her hand reached out, touching my knee just above Laurent’s. Her fingers stroked gently. “You will too. Just give it time. Let yourself feel.”
Pierre and Marcus brought drinks over, setting them on the table. Laurent handed me one, his fingers brushing mine.

Chapter 75: To New Experiences
“To new experiences.”
Pierre raised his glass, his eyes locked on me.
“And to beautiful women brave enough to explore.”
They all drank.
I took a small sip, the alcohol burning slightly as it went down. I needed to stay clear-headed for work tomorrow.
Laurent noticed. His eyes were on my lips as I drank.
“You can loosen up a little, Anna. It’s just one night. You deserve to enjoy yourself.”
“I still want to be clear-headed for work tomorrow.” I gave him a small smile.
“Oh.”
His eyes trailed down my body again, lingering on my chest, then down to where the dress had ridden up on my thigh. The intensity of his gaze made me uneasy.
“Of course. But you know, you could skip work tomorrow and I’d handle Roman.”
I shifted uncomfortably, wanting to put as much space between us as possible.
“Laurent, I can’t. It’s not appropriate.”
Laurent raised his hand, palm up.
“I rest my case.”
I gave him a grin. “Thanks for not pushing.”
“So, Anna.”
Marcus leaned back on the couch, his arm stretched across the back, fingers almost touching my shoulder.
“Everyone here goes by an alias. For privacy. What would you want yours to be?”
I was caught off guard.
“Um…”
I thought of one of my book characters, a strong, confident woman who took what she wanted without apology.
“Scarlett,” I blurted out.
They all smiled, nodding in approval.
“Scarlett, Celeste repeated, her tongue running across her bottom lip slowly. “That’s powerful. Mysterious. I love it.”
“See?” Pierre grinned. “You’re easing up. We’re not so bad.”
Laurent leaned close, his lips almost touching my ear, his breath hot.
“I love that name. It suits you.”
His hand squeezed my thigh, fingers inching higher under the hem of my dress.
I adjusted back again, wanting to pull away without being obvious.
“So, Laurent,” Marcus said, breaking the tension. “How’s Europe? How’s business?”
“Great.” Laurent’s eyes never left me. “Expanding into new markets. Opening new opportunities.”
“Normally, discussing life outside here is off-limits,” Pierre explained. “Discretion is everything. NDAs are signed. Security is tighter than most government buildings. So feel free to speak freely here.”
I nodded, unsure what to say.
“So, Anna,” Celeste said, her hand back on my thigh, fingers tracing slow circles. “What do you do outside of here?”
