Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 1178

Hearing Yvonne's ruthless declaration felt like the sky crashing down on Mona.

With a trembling hand, she answered Berry's call. "Hello?"

"Mom, why are people looking for me? What do they want?"

Mona was speechless.

Hearing this plunged her deeper into despair.

She hadn't expected Tristan's men to move with such terrifying efficiency. They were already in Novaderma, hunting Berry down.

"Mom?" Berry prompted.

"Those are Tristan's men," Mona finally choked out.

"What?" Berry gasped in shock. "What do you mean? Why is Tristan looking for me?"

Tristan's men.

The sheer reality of it made Berry's heart leap into her throat.

Being hunted by Tristan was catastrophic news.

Mona had no idea how to break the news that Yvonne had orchestrated all of this.

Yvonne knew...

That single fact meant every desperate move they had made over the years was rendered entirely useless.

The plan was dead.

She... would never take her place beside Ronald.

Knowing how violently obsessed Berry was with Ronald, Mona couldn't bear to crush her delusions.

She took a deep, shuddering breath. "Is there really no way for you to leave Novaderma?"

The most critical objective right now was getting Berry out of the country to lay low.

Mona truly hadn't anticipated the situation imploding this rapidly.

"I can't!" Berry cried out. "The airport completely blocked me from leaving."

"But Mom, forget about that for a second. When am I getting my next surgery? The doctor said two more minor adjustments and my face will be an exact match for Stella Quinn's."

Berry was utterly infatuated with her new reflection.

It was the face Ronald loved.

As soon as Stella was out of the picture, she would step in, and he would cherish her with the same fiery devotion he gave Stella.

And what did that even mean?

"Our plan failed," Mona whispered, her voice cracking.

Dead silence descended on the line. Berry's grip on the phone tightened until her knuckles turned white.

Her breathing hitched, growing shallow and erratic.

"Failed? What do you mean?"

How could it fail?

How could years of meticulous scheming just vanish?!

Berry couldn't process the words. Her mind went completely blank.

"You're never going to get near Ronald. Let it go," Mona pleaded.

"Yvonne is fiercely protective of Stella. Now that she knows, our plan is completely shattered."

As much as it agonized her to crush the obsession that had driven Berry for years, Mona had to force her to face reality.

Her instincts screamed the cold, hard truth: if Berry kept pursuing Ronald, it would only end in absolute destruction!
