“No need. Jeremy said he’s sending in Curran Group’s own legal counsel–Mr. Guzman. He’ll handle everything himself. We don’t have to worry.”

“Mr. Guzman?” Patience blinked, then her eyes went wide. “Wait–don’t tell me you mean Dane Guzman?”

Curran Group’s in–house counsel, same last name, same reputation–there was no mistaking it.

Dane, the undefeated king of the courtroom. The man had never lost a case.

But he wasn’t exactly easy to work with. His temper was infamous, and he never followed the rules of the game–he took cases purely on instinct, depending on his mood.

Still, if he was on it, the case was as good as won.

Patience had tried to hire him once herself, but that jerk hadn’t even looked her way.

“Oh? Since when are you such an expert on Dane?” Amelia smoothly changed the subject.

That worked perfectly–Patience took the bait and kept talking, her words tumbling out in a nonstop rush.
