Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 665

Before the engagement was called off, he knew he had no hope of winning Amelia back, and there was nothing he could do.

But now, he had regained his freedom, and he felt that he finally had the right to pursue her again.

Even though she was now preparing to get engaged to Jeremy, he was confident that he could win her back.

It's a free country, as long as they are not married yet, I could still pursue her.

In this day and age, even marriage doesn't mean a heart can't change.

More importantly, they are not even officially engaged yet. That means I can do whatever I want.

With that thought, Vincent clung to a thin, self-deceiving sliver of hope.

After all, he was Amelia's first love. She had once cared about him so deeply.

Surely, somewhere deep in her heart, there was still a small place left for him.

"All right. If you can win Amelia back, I won't stop you."

Diana was speaking the plain truth.

Amelia was not who she used to be.

Not only was she now the one in control of Nygard Group, she was also highly valued by everyone in the Nygard family.

Her brothers and her mother were all racking their brains, trying to mend their relationship with her.

It was obvious that Amelia had become highly sought after.

If Vincent married her, she'd be a great help to him.

Naturally, Diana would not object. In fact, she would be delighted if her son could coax Amelia back.

A calculating glint flickered in her eyes.

"However," Diana changed her tone, her eyes filling with calculation and caution, "But keep your head straight. Amelia isn't that naive girl you could push around anymore.

"She's now in charge of Nygard Group. Her thinking is bound to be far more mature than before. You cannot rely on those little tricks you used in the past, and don't you dare play dirty. Do you hear me?"

She paused, her tone growing heavier. "You need to be extra careful with Jeremy. He's not someone to mess with. The Curran family's influence runs deep in this city.

"You'd better think this through carefully. Don't end up trying to play clever and only screwing yourself over in the process."

"I know. I'll show real sincerity, and I absolutely won't use any schemes or tricks on her!"

Vincent replied seriously, though inwardly he dismissed it.

He felt his mother was overthinking things. No matter how much Amelia had changed, the feelings she once had for him must still be there.

Now that he finally had the right to pursue her again, Vincent was certain he would be careful and cherish the chance.

The pain of losing her back then had never stopped haunting him

He had thought time would dull everything, but it didn't. If anything, he wanted her even more.

He knew she was soft-hearted when treated gently and stubborn when pushed.

This time, he had to make Amelia see his sincerity and genuine feelings.

Those flowers look expensive. Throwing them away like that seems such a waste.

What on earth happened to make my bestie this angry?

This looks serious.

Josie could not help feeling worried.

"No. Jeremy wouldn't send me something this tacky," Amelia said bluntly.

"Oh, right." Josie suddenly remembered that her best friend did not like pink roses. "Then who sent them?"

"Don't tell me you've got a new admirer? Who's the clown who can't see straight? Don't they know you're taken?"

And not just any boyfriend, but someone at the very top of the pyramid, someone ordinary people could never hope to compete with.

"It was Vincent," Amelia said lightly, tossing out the name.

Just saying his name made her feel irritated.

She had practically forgotten he existed, and suddenly he popped back up. It was truly unpleasant.

Josie froze for a moment, then immediately exploded. "What? That piece of trash actually sent you flowers?

"Does he seriously think that just because he dumped Gianna, he can start fantasizing about getting back together with you?

"Where does he get that kind of delusional confidence? The audacity!"

Just then mention of Vincent's name alone was enough to make Josie roll her eyes.

She had just been thinking it was a shame to throw those flowers away, that they might look nice displayed in the office.

Now that she knew they were sent by that piece of garbage Vincent, her disgust spiked instantly.
