Chapter 2295: Kulas’ Mistake

After sensing Kulas’ immense killing intent that engulfed the entire palace, Tian Yang rushed out of his room and ran toward the throne room, where Kulas was having his meeting with the Three Pillars of Heaven.

"Hey! What’s going on?!" Sun Rouxi asked as she and the others followed behind.

"I would love to know, too!" Tian Yang said.

"Could it be one of his episodes?" Ren Xia guessed out loud.

"Episodes?" Jing Ruye questioned.

"Sorry, but it’s a little personal, so I cannot explain without Kulas’ permission," Tian Yang apologized. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"Is that so..."

They quickly arrived at the throne room, only to find that its doors were gone—not opened or shattered, but forcibly torn away. Two members of the Three Pillars of Heaven lay unconscious on the ground, their bodies strewn amid the wreckage.

Tian Yang didn’t hesitate and rushed inside. The remaining members stood before Kulas, each of them grievously injured. One, however, lay motionless on the floor, his entire head crushed beyond recognition.

"What is the meaning of this, Giant Emperor?! Why did you suddenly attack us?!"

"Have you gone insane?! Not only did you attack us, but you even killed one of us! Are you trying to declare war against the Three Pillars of Heaven?!"

The remaining members of the Three Pillars of Heaven shouted at Kulas while clutching their life-saving treasures.

However, Kulas merely stood there, as if lost in a daze.

"Kulas!"

Tian Yang rushed forward, positioning himself directly between Kulas and the others.

"Kulas! What are you doing?!"

This time, Kulas reacted. The emptiness in his gaze faded as reason swiftly returned.

"Wh-What happened...?" he asked in a puzzled tone.

"That’s what we should be asking, Giant Emperor!"

"You suddenly attacked us while we were talking!"

"What!" Kulas’ expression sank as he realized that he’d just lost his temper again.

"How dare you act surprised like you weren’t aware?! Are you mocking us?!"

"Bastard, you killed one of our people unprovoked! I hope you’re prepared for the consequences!"

"W-Wait! I can explain!" Kulas hastily said.

"There’s nothing to explain!"

"We’ll be taking our leave now!"

The members of the Three Pillars of Heaven were all between Bronze and Golden Immortal, so there was nothing they could do before Kulas, who was a True Immortal. Even if they wanted revenge, they would need to return to their family first.

However, just as they turned around and prepared to leave, Tian Yang stood in their way and stopped them.

"Who the hell are you?!"

Tian Yang then said, "Although it won’t change what had happened, allow the Giant Emperor to explain himself first."

Sun Rouxi wanted to stay a little longer to talk to Tian Yang more about the situation, but given the circumstances, she had no choice but to return to the Holy Continent.

Once they all left, Kulas explained the situation to his family.

"I fucked up," he admitted with a heavy sigh. "I lost my temper during our conversation, and by the time I realized, I had attacked them, even killing one of them."

"This... what will happen now?" One of his wives asked.

"Will it lead to war?" Another asked.

"Given our current standing, it’s unlikely that war will break out. However, it’s not impossible," Kulas said after pondering for a moment.

Now that the Giant Continent had become a true powerhouse, a war with the Three Pillars of Heaven would undoubtedly affect the entire world and unleash unprecedented devastation. It was not something that could be taken lightly.

"There’s nothing we can do but wait for their response. Until then, I am going to enter seclusion," Kulas suddenly declared. "I must deal with this instability of mine once and for all, no matter what it takes."

"Unless the Three Pillars of Heaven act, do not disturb me."

After giving instructions to his family, Kulas turned to look at Tian Yang and said, "I’m sorry. Because of my mistake, I have offended the Three Pillars of Heaven. You should leave the Giant Continent for the time being—at least until things cool down."

"Are you really going to push us away after what happened?" Tian Yang frowned.

"Yes, I am. Unless you know how to fix my condition, there’s nothing you can do for me. I know you’re angry and disappointed, but I would rather you feel that way for the rest of your life than endanger you."

"..."

As much as he hated to admit it, Kulas was right. There was nothing they could do, especially when they didn’t even know what was causing his mood swings.
