"C-Can you repeat that for me?" Selena muttered with a dazed look on her face, unable to believe what she’d just heard.
"I said the Demon God has ended your punishment, so you can leave Death Paradise," Yuan repeated.
"Why would he do that? Did you...?" Selena’s eyes trembled as they stared at him.
Yuan nodded, "I just tried asking him, and it somehow worked out."
"Th-thank you! Truly!" Selena subconsciously bowed her head to him, something she hadn’t done since becoming a Transcendent.
"There’s no need to thank me. I didn’t really do anything."
Yuan turned to look at the crimson cocoon nearby and approached it.
"Dena..." Yuan had considered asking Deemo to assist Dena with her ascension, but ultimately decided against it, feeling that doing so would wound her pride.
"Knowing her, she’d rather die trying than succeed with help. If I asked Deemo to assist her, she’d probably hate me for life, even if it was for her own good," Yuan sighed softly.
He then turned to Lev and said, "I intend on leaving this place soon."
"You mean Death Paradise? Where will you go next? I will follow you wherever you go!" Lev declared as he proudly patted his chest.
However, Yuan shook his head and said, "No, I will be leaving this world to return to my own. I have been here for long enough."
"Back to your own world...? Then what about me?" Lev stared at him with a dumbfounded face.
Yuan pondered for a moment before responding, "Do you want to follow me back to my world?"
"Can I really follow you?!" Lev’s eyes widened with surprise.
Yuan silently nodded.
"I want to!" Lev quickly agreed. "I no longer have a family or home in this world, so it doesn’t matter where I go."
"What about your revenge?" Yuan suddenly reminded him of his reason for wanting to leave the Deprived Crimson Valley.
"That’s..." Lev closed his eyes and became silent.
A minute later, he opened them again, his eyes flickering with resolve.
"It happened so long ago that I doubt that the bastard is still alive. Unless I encounter him, I will just consider him dead."
"Alright." Yuan nodded.
"Then what about her?" Lev suddenly pointed at Supreme Ruler Dena.
"Well... In that state, I don’t think we’ll be able to bring her with us."
Suddenly, as if reacting to his words, the cocoon trembled.
"Hm?"
Noticing the subtle movement, Yuan raised an eyebrow and approached the cocoon.
"Dena? Can you hear me?" he called out to her.
"..."
The cocoon remained motionless.
"I guess you don’t want to come with me, after all."
The cocoon trembled again.
Yuan smiled and said, "Remember our promise? I said that I’d show you my world the next time I came back to the Demonic Realm."
The cocoon did not stop trembling, even growing more active.
Yuan then said, "There’s no need to rush your ascension, Dena. It’s not like I am going to leave right now."
"We’re not?" Lev muttered. "Then what are we going to do now?"
