"So demons were once humans... and we... we might be clones?" Meixiu wore a dazed look on her face as she tried to digest this shocking revelation.

"However, it does make me wonder what the original humans were like, and why they went extinct."

"...Forget it. There’s no point dwelling on something like this."

In the end, the information was so far beyond her comprehension that Meixiu decided it would be easier to pretend she had never heard it at all. After all, it wasn’t as if there was anything she could do with this sort of information.

"How are the others doing?" Yuan then asked.
