Janice swallowed hard and took a slight step back. "It's too late, Wade. It's all too late. I gave you countless chances, but you never made me a priority.
"You always assumed I would be fine with you neglecting me, with you choosing someone else over me, again and again.
"You got spoiled by the old Janice, who loved you wholeheartedly. But Wade, feelings change. You kept choosing Alicia over me. You knew it would hurt me, yet you chose to play dumb or brush it aside.
"You knew what you were doing was wrong, but you counted on me getting over it because my love for you was so deep. You knew everything; you just didn't care enough about my feelings."
Janice understood that it wasn't that Wade didn't care at all; it was that he never cared enough. He thought he could skip the essential work of a relationship—the comforting, the nurturing, the loving—simply because Janice's love was a given.
He was arrogantly confident she would never leave him, so he brazenly repeated his mistakes.
As Janice spoke, Wade's face grew pale. She was giving voice to the uncomfortable truths he had always subconsciously ignored but that had lingered in the back of his mind.
He loved Janice, but he was too conceited.
Abandoning all pretense of composure, Wade hurriedly explained, "I only acted that way because of what happened at the ski resort years ago! You caused Alicia's severe injuries at the ski resort years ago. I felt I had to make it up on your behalf…"
A sudden, cold realization dawned on Janice.
So that was why everything had changed from that point onward. Janice recalled Alicia's injury years ago—an accident on the mountain during their ski trip. She'd wanted to visit Alicia in the hospital then, but Wade had repeatedly told her it wasn't necessary.
Now, hearing his words, a chilling thought struck her. "You think I was the reason she got hurt?"
Wade stayed silent.
Janice let out a soft, bitter chuckle. It was impossible to tell if she was laughing at the situation or at her own foolishness.

Can you give me more chapters please...
Can you give me more chapters? I was hoping for a happy ending with Ariel and Jayson. Janice with Wade, and if not, put her with Chad, Matt, or even Liam....
Nice and amazing story with gripping turns, but can you give more chapters? And please we need more romance as readers, it has been dragging on a lot, maybe romance, happy ending and end it soon....
