Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja) novel Chapter 2240

Athena noticed the change in Tyler as well. In the past, whenever something upset him, he’d sulk and ask if he owed her some kind of debt.

But today, and really the whole day through, Tyler was uncharacteristically agreeable.

It left Athena with little to complain about, and the two of them settled into a surprisingly harmonious routine.

Two days later, Athena was discharged from the hospital—her leg finally well enough to recover at home.

Tyler became her constant companion, fussing over her from morning till night, refusing to let anyone else lift a finger. He insisted on doing everything himself.

Even when it came to bathing, Tyler scooped her up and carried her into the tub.

At first, being doted on this way made Athena uncomfortable, but seeing how much Tyler seemed to enjoy himself, she eventually stopped protesting.

Of course, when Tyler helped her bathe, his hands inevitably started to wander.

She nudged his hand away, frowning. “I’m still recovering, you know.”

Tyler just raised an eyebrow, looking completely unfazed. “That’s exactly why I want to help you relax your muscles with a proper massage.”

“Your hand is on my chest.”

“Your chest needs a massage too.”

He said it with such earnest conviction, as if he didn’t notice he was taking advantage.

Athena finally let him have his way—after all, it wasn’t as if this was new territory for them.

In the end, Tyler got what he wanted, pulling her into his arms and moving gently, mindful of her injury. He didn’t drag things out, finishing quickly out of consideration for her.

As he kissed her, his voice grew soft and serious. “What do you say… should we have a baby?”

The question hung in the steamy air, and suddenly the bathroom was silent.

He kept knitting, lips pressed in a line, long lashes casting shadows over his face. He was handsome by any standard, but now—with his clumsy attempts at knitting—he looked almost comical.

A rare smile tugged at Athena’s lips, but the moment she remembered this was Tyler, it faded again.

Still, the tiny change didn’t escape Tyler’s notice.

She actually smiled at him!

That was all the encouragement he needed—he was more determined than ever to master knitting.

Athena spent two days at home, doted on by Tyler’s meticulous care, until the Keller family reached out again, asking the two of them over for dinner.

Those days had been happy for Tyler—almost too happy. Every moment with Athena felt fleeting, as if it could vanish at any second.

This time, the invitation came straight from Grandma Edith herself, so there was no way they could refuse.
