"Look at him," Carson yells. "His pants are down, he's been caught in the act, and you're defending him-"

I cover Carson's mouth. My mom and dad cannot walk in to find three strange guys in my room. It's just not gonna happen."If you're gonna argue, do it quietly," I say.

Carson moves my hand and talks quieter this time. "Your beta's trying to take our mate. Wake up and smell her hand." He shakes my hand wildly in Axel's face before I can pull it away. "He says she was the one who did it. He's tempting her to willingly cheat on us."

I snap my head back towards Onai. For the first time he gives an apologetic look, but I understand. In his position, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. I did just use him two minutes ago to lie to my brother. I can't get mad at him for using me to tell the truth.

"Mia." Carson puts his hand on my shoulder. "You don't have to go to other men to be satisfied. Maybe you forgot the accidental preview you got a little while back, but I'd be happy to remind you what's behind door letter alpha."

I don't know what his intentions were, but honestly that just brought back so many bad memories of a night I'd rather forget. Oh geez. Suzie. The party. Learning about werewolves. The start of this mess, oh no.

"She wasn't cheating, Carson. She was scared." Axel cuts him off. "It was our fault. We weren't there. If we want to be the ones she reaches for next time, we'll just have to do better." He moves closer to me and smiles, but there's a sadness to it. "You're safe now though."

I nod. "I know, but you guys really have to leave before someone comes."

He nods. "That might not be a good second impression," he laughs.

I shake my head, definitely not.

He gestures for Onai to come on and Onai all but launches himself out the window, glad to be free even if it means sudden doom.

Carson grumbles a few incoherent words.

Axel waves him off. "We'll keep watch of your house, Mia, so don't worry." He starts moving towards the window, but then stops. "Oh and, I got your message." He walks back towards me.

"What message?" Carson asks eyeing him suspiciously.

"Nothing," Axel kisses my cheek, gently. "Hi again," he whispers.

My face burns. He's just as bad as Carson.

I stare at him, and he doesn't even spare me a glance. He puts me down on my feet immediately after a moment in his arms. "Shut up both of you." He glares at his brothers. "You had one job, get Onai. What did you do instead?" He shakes his head. "Break her window, waste time, and now try to get yourselves caught in her bedroom."

"You really want to leave her here?" Carson asks.

"It's better than abducting her," Axel mutters.

"Get. Out." Aiden narrows his eyes. They head for the window a lot like Onai did, quickly. "Bye, Mia. Be safe." They say in unison.

But before Carson leaves, he runs back and kisses my other cheek. "Wait for me, babe. I'll come back for you." He smirks.

I shake my head. "Yeah, yeah. Just go... And be safe." I mean it for all three of them.

Once Carson and Axel are out, I expect Aiden to follow. He doesn't. He looks down at me for a long time. That's when I expect him to say something, anything along the lines of what he usually does, death doom and destruction, but he doesn't.

That's when our eyes connect and I expect one of us to look away. I expect myself to look away, but I don't for a long time. Until I can't take it anymore and I do. What is he staring at? "I'm fine," I say out of nowhere, guessing.
