Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 209

Luka's head buzzed like it had been struck.

That damned Maeve. She was trying to start a war.

He immediately dialed Maeve.

Halfway through, he remembered: she'd blocked him.

He was just about to grab his mistress's phone when—somehow—the call connected.

What Luka didn't know was that Maeve hadn't ended the livestream yet.

Isla and Anya watched, frozen, as Maeve answered Luka's call on camera.

And in front of nearly two hundred thousand people, she tapped the speaker button.

The moment the line connected, Luka's roar blasted through the stream.

"Maeve, you ungrateful little monster—so you finally decided to pick up?"

Maeve turned the volume all the way up and asked, sweetly confused, "Sorry, who is this?"

Luka bellowed, "I'm your father, damn it!"

Maeve gave a small laugh. "Oh. Mr. Morales. Calling me at this hour—what can I do for you?"

Luka didn't even realize he shouldn't have been able to reach her at all.

"You've got the nerve to ask why I'm calling? What the hell did you do to Ansel?"

Maeve's voice stayed calm. "I haven't even seen Ansel in person. What could I possibly do to him?"

"You should be asking what he did to other people."

"Your precious son tested positive for illegal substances, and he openly admitted he killed someone two years ago."

"Oh—and the video of him and his buddies beating Jenny in her hospital room? The hospital director kept it. He handed it to me."

The video hadn't been "handed to her," of course. Maeve was just taking the opportunity to drag the director down with them.

The director and Luka were the same kind of garbage.

The internet audience was boiling.

They'd thought Isla and Ansel were bad. Luka was worse—so much worse.

Calling people "trash" like he was royalty.

And the irony? Half his money existed because Maeve's mother's recipes had built their restaurant empire.

The comment section turned into a wall of curses aimed at Luka.

But Luka couldn't see a single word.

Anya realized the situation was spiraling out of control. She tried calling her father to warn him Maeve was livestreaming—everything he said was being broadcast in real time.

No matter how many times she dialed, the line stayed busy.

She shot Isla a look full of rage. "This is your fault. We were already hanging by a thread, and now we'll never recover."

Isla finally understood she'd lit the fuse.
