Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 341

As long as he took his recovery seriously, Murray would be back on his feet within a month—running, jumping, moving like nothing had ever happened.

Hans forced down the shock rising in his chest.

"So… am I supposed to understand that what Miss Vance dripped into Murray—the Revive Elixir—can basically bring someone back from the dead?"

Maeve answered with a vague hum, like it barely mattered.

"The original research angle was actually resurrection," she said. "That failed."

"If the body's still functioning, there's still a sliver of a chance."

"But once everything fully stops, Revive Elixir loses its effect."

"So far, I've got fewer than twenty drops of the real stuff."

"It's absurdly powerful, but the raw materials are too hard to get. Mass production isn't possible."

Andres asked, "Which ingredient is the hardest to source?"

Maeve flicked him a look. "That thirty-million-dollar piece of grit I picked up at the cruise auction."

Andres was speechless.

That "piece of grit" was a lost, unfinished prototype from the Undying Project.

It was barely the size of a peppercorn, yet it had sold for thirty million—and even then, money alone couldn't usually buy it.

Maeve's hands didn't slow as she stitched Murray up, clean and efficient.

"I'm trying to break down its main components," she said. "Progress hasn't been great."

By the time she finished speaking, the surgery was already over.

She turned to Hans. "Get him to the ICU now."

"If his blood pressure, oxygen levels, and heart rate stay within normal range for three days, you can move him to a standard room for recovery."

For a lot of people, it was going to be a sleepless night.

The assassins Maeve had cut down were hauled to the White family's private interrogation wing by security.

Everyone had assumed those two combat knives of hers would leave bodies everywhere.

And now, thanks to Andres's quiet maneuvering, the Shepherd family's brightest rising star was about to be shipped off to a useless post far from the capital.

Without James, the Shepherds would be crippled.

And in their eyes, the person who caused all of it was Maeve.

Andres had never wanted to kill someone with his own hands more than he did right now.

"Where is James?"

Hans said, "He waited too long for his men to report back. He probably knows it blew up."

"If nothing goes wrong, he'll run within two days."

After everything that had happened tonight, Hans finally understood what Maeve really was.

She'd flipped a hopeless situation by herself—and dragged Murray back from the edge of death.

Hans admired her. And more than that, he was grateful.

She hadn't let his man die in this disaster.
