Divorce Failed! My Wife's Secret Identities Shock the World novel Chapter 929

The thought of Maeve carrying his babies filled Andres with such sheer fatherly joy that his mood was practically glowing.

"She needs her friends around right now. Feel free to come by as often as you'd like."

Naomi nodded politely.

"As long as I'm not intruding, Mr. White."

Andres smiled faintly.

"No need for formalities. Maeve's friends are my friends."

After a few more pleasantries, Naomi was about to leave.

She noticed a massive tank in the corner of the living room.

There were no fish inside—just a brilliantly colored Azure Serpent coiled up.

Since it was winter, cold-blooded animals naturally entered a state of brumation.

To keep Lucifer comfortable, Andres had installed heavy-duty heating equipment in the enclosure.

Even so, Lucifer spent most of his time snoozing, lacking the explosive energy he had during the summer.

Naomi casually waved at the snake.

"Bye, Little Bluey."

It was a completely ordinary farewell, but it made Andres freeze.

"Miss Lowell, what did you just call him?"

Naomi looked thoroughly confused.

"Little Bluey. Oh, right, I almost forgot. Maeve mentioned she renamed him Lucifer."

Andres narrowed his eyes, catching the slip immediately.

"You're saying his original name was Little Bluey?"

Naomi was baffled by his intensity.

"Did Maeve seriously never tell you? She and I came up with that name together years ago."

His connection to Maeve had started years before they ever officially met.

The reason the name 'Little Bluey' struck such a chord was that when Lucifer had been delivered to him, the sender's name on the shipping label had been exactly that.

Afterward, he had used every resource at the courier company to track down the sender, but he'd found absolutely nothing.

He had assumed 'Little Bluey' was the sender's alias, but it had actually been Maeve's first name for the snake.

Pulling out his phone, Andres swiped to a photo in his gallery and showed it to Naomi.

It was the distinct, stylized illustration of a little fox.

Naomi recognized it instantly.

"That's the avatar Maeve used on all her social accounts back in the day. Oh, and she designed it herself."

"It's crazy how deep your history goes. You two were connected way before you got married."

"I just don't get it—it's not some dark, terrible secret. Why didn't she tell you she was the one who cloned him?"
