Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 250

No wonder Ayla had tried every possible way to marry Troy back then. With how scheming she was, no wonder Troy couldn't stand her.

This was a lesson Rolf would never forget. He used to just look down on Ayla and see her as a pathetic simp and pushover. But now, he absolutely, deeply, and genuinely despised her.

Rolf clenched his fists. The alcohol made him sweat even more, and his forehead stayed damp.

Conrad had a much stronger mindset than Rolf. After making a toast and apologizing, he kept smiling and exchanged some polite words. Everyone understood the matter was over for good, and no one would bring it up again. But since Rolf was the one who started it, he'd still left a bad impression. Conrad could only keep working to fix their impression of him.

Ayla lowered her gaze. Draven still hadn't let go of her hand, and when she tried to pull away, he didn't react at all.

Several minutes went by.

Draven suddenly released her. While chatting with Duan and Conrad, he used his finger to write in her palm, "Wanna go?"

It was like a top student pretending to pay attention in class but actually reading a comic book under the desk.

Ayla found it kind of funny.

Still, she wrote back.

"Let's go."

After she finished, Draven let go of her hand, which also meant the social event was coming to an end. Draven didn't want to stay, so after a round of goodbyes, everyone began to leave.

Conrad stayed behind to see everyone off. Dustin had his own car, so he left first. Draven got in his own car, and Ayla rode with Halle, leaving together.

Halle's car hadn't gone far when her phone rang. She answered, hung up a few seconds later, and after passing a red light, pulled over to the curb.

"Why are you stopping?" Ayla asked.

"Look behind us," Halle said.

Ayla looked in the rearview mirror and spotted Draven's car.

Halle looked helpless. "Mr. Storm wants you in his car, and there's no way I can refuse."

Ayla shot Halle a few glares before getting out. Halle made a phone gesture to say, "Call me when you get home," then happily drove off.

Ayla walked over to Draven's car. The driver was there, so she was about to get in the front seat. But when she opened the door, Draven, who was sitting in the back, looked over and said, "Come here."

That's when Ayla noticed the front seat was stacked with gifts. She shut the door and got in the back, closing the door behind her.

The driver started driving, but not in the direction of home.

"Mr. Storm, where are we going?" Ayla asked.
