Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 28

**TITLE: Unwritten Feelings Drift by Austen 28**
**CONTENT: Chapter 28 Signs**

Rolf had always harbored a disdainful view of Ayla. To him, she was just another ambitious woman, cunningly maneuvering her way into a marriage with Troy. In the midst of opulence and influence, he had witnessed countless women attempting to ascend the social ladder, and in his mind, Ayla was no different from the rest. He had never held her in high regard, convinced that her charm was merely a façade for her ulterior motives.

“She doesn’t require your voice to speak for her,” Rolf remarked, his tone icy and dismissive.

Max’s brow furrowed momentarily, but then a smirk danced across his lips, laced with mockery. “Oh, is that so? Well, I suppose I’ll just keep my opinions to myself then. Happy now, Mr. Rolf?”

Though his words seemed lighthearted, the grip on Rolf’s shoulder shifted, constricting around his neck with a sudden intensity. In a swift motion, Max locked Rolf in a chokehold, the surprise of the action rendering Rolf momentarily breathless.

Rolf and Max were nearly the same height, but Max’s dedication to fitness was evident. He was always vying for the attention of women, and while clothing might have concealed the disparity, once stripped down, Max’s physical prowess was unmistakable.

Rolf struggled, his hands flailing against Max’s arm as he gasped, “I’m here on business!”

Max eased his grip just a fraction, his eyes narrowing with curiosity. “What business could possibly bring you here? Don’t tell me you’ve come to discuss your father.”

Conrad was indeed present, but his attention was firmly directed towards the Storm Group. Rolf had tagged along, hoping to seize the opportunity to meet some of Storm’s top executives, believing it could be beneficial for his own ambitions.

Max assumed that was precisely Rolf’s intention.

Rolf shook his head defiantly. “I’ve taken charge of the family’s tech division. We’re in the process of developing a substantial new language model. I’m in dire need of AI talent, and that’s why I’m here. This project has nothing to do with my father.”

Skyla was one of the talents he had his eye on.

If he could persuade Skyla to join his company, he was prepared to offer her a staggering multi-million dollar annual salary.

Skyla was exceptionally skilled, with a plethora of hobbies that made her stand out. Rolf had never encountered a woman quite like her, and he felt an immediate admiration for her capabilities. The thought of whether she would even consider joining his relatively small firm was still a distant concern.

Yet, even if she were interested, he knew Troy would never allow it.

Troy had provided her with top-tier resources, advantages that no one else could hope to match. In comparison, Rolf felt utterly outclassed.

Max chuckled, a glint of amusement in his eyes. “You know, average talent wouldn’t even pique your interest. You might just end up leaving here empty-handed.”

Rolf shook his head, frustration simmering beneath the surface. “Skyla mentioned LugiX to me. That model was released three years ago, and I’m determined to track down the developer behind it.”

If he could locate that individual, it would significantly propel his company’s new project. The potential rewards were astronomical once the product hit the market.

Rolf was resolute; he would make this happen.

Max, being well-versed in venture capital, didn’t press further, but a thought struck him. He recalled a conversation he had once had with Ayla regarding her educational background. She had mentioned that she graduated with a degree in computer science from Agron University—one of the nation’s premier institutions.

Curiously, Troy seemed oblivious to this fact.

Meanwhile, Ayla was putting the earlier confrontation behind her as she finally located the ballroom.

Nelson Poe, the assistant to the vice president, informed her that the meeting had already concluded. Their bosses, along with their respective teams, had migrated to the dining hall for lunch.

With noon approaching, the timing was just right for a meal.
