When Iris handed over the contract and the pen,
Brianna’s gaze
locked onto that single
movement.
Her emotions started to surge. She spread both palms, rubbing them repeatedly against her knees, unable to sit still.
Seeing her like this, Ayla felt nothing but heartache. Her voice softened. “Go ahead. Sign.”
Brianna looked up at Ayla. The encouragement in Ayla’s eyes made her jaw ache. She let out a breath, holding back her tears, and only parted her lips. “Ms. Keaton, I really am a risk.”
Her voice carried a faint sob.
Ayla almost wanted to pull her into a hug. “Don’t worry. I can handle it. I’ll protect you.”
Brianna looked at Ayla, then back at the contract. She had flipped through it several times already there were no issues. The clauses about producing tailored dramas for her were clearly written, and if the company failed to deliver on its promises, they would compensate her financially.
She picked up the pen. Her hand trembled slightly. When she reached the signature page, she hesitated again.
“Are you really sure?” she asked once more. “Do you really want to sign me?”
An actor’s emotional pull was powerful.
She clearly wanted the contract so badly, yet her uneasy questioning, paired with that trembling, tearful voice, made people ache for her.
Ayla encouraged her again. “We’re sure.”
Hannah and Iris also offered words of reassurance.
Only then did Brianna grip the pen tightly and carefully write her name, stroke by stroke, in the signature field.
There were many places to sign, along with fingerprint stamps. Iris patiently pointed them out to her one by one.
Brianna had been suppressing her emotions the entire time. Everything she’d experienced in the past flashed through her mind like a carousel. Before she even realized it, the contract was

finished. And before she realized it, tears overflowed from her eyes, slid down her cheeks, and fell onto the
paper.
She pressed her lips together, quietly wiped away her tears, and held the pen, ready to continue signing.
Iris smiled and told her it was already done.
A trace of confusion crossed Brianna’s face.
Ayla had already stood up and extended her hand.
Brianna instinctively rose as well.
They shook hands.
Ayla said, “Brianna, welcome to the Centurion Entertainment family. We are dream-makers. Your dreams-we’ll do everything we can to make them come true. You only need to focus on one thing: being a good actor. Keep refining your craft, enriching your inner world, and growing step by step. Any trouble you face, leave it to me-to Centurion. We’ll clear away every distraction and stand guard for you. As for the future, I hope that when you’re 30, 40, I’ll still see you shining on screen. And by then, you’ll be very different from who you are today.”
Brianna had already wiped away her tears, but the moment she heard Ayla’s words, she completely broke down.
Much later-much later still-when Brianna finally won Best Actress, her eyes carried the weight of experience, yet she remained just as sincere as she was now. Step by step, she walked onto the stage, accepted the trophy and certificate that belonged to her, and stood confidently at the center under countless cameras zoomed in on her face.
At that moment of glory in her life, under the gaze of the entire crowd, she choked up and repeated Ayla’s words exactly as they had been spoken.
All those years later, she had never forgotten this moment.
Of course, that was all in the future.
Brianna wiped her tears and kept apologizing, crying so hard she felt embarrassed by how she looked.
Ayla didn’t tell her that today was a happy occasion and that she shouldn’t cry. Instead, she waited, letting her vent the emotions and grievances she’d been carrying for so long.
After crying it all out, Brianna genuinely felt much better.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
