Chapter 47 The Company Rules Prohibit Bribery
Troy rubbed his temples.
Skyla noticed. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Bria.”
She said, “Ah, no wonder you look annoyed. She’s at that age. Be gentle with her.”
Troy sighed and typed with a bit more patience, Stop causing trouble. Do something productive. Don’t spend every day fooling around. Control your temper. Did you forget what Grandpa said to you?”
Bria’s mouth twitched in anger. “Troy, your fatherly tone is too much. Is this how older men lecture people?
“That day at the old house when I set up Ayla, you knew exactly what I was doing. You covered for me too. I didn’t even say anything bad about Skyla, and now you are being biased already? If I set up Skyla, would you call the police and have me arrested?
“Yes, I have a bad temper. Did I ever claim I had a good one? Even if it’s bad, that’s your fault. You spoiled me.
“And I don’t just mess around, alright? I make money from investments too. People think I’m just some useless rich kid, but I’m not actually stupid. Got it?”
Given the environment Bria grew up in, she was surrounded by all kinds of people with motives.
If she were even a bit naive, she would have been eaten alive.
Troy sighed.
Bria continued, “Are you speechless? I’m speechless too. Your words are either full of flaws or pure nonsense. I can’t even be bothered to argue with you!”
Troy didn’t even know what to say.
He had said one sentence, and Bria exploded on him for half a page.
Clearly, she was venting on him instead of Ayla.
Bria was genuinely upset now. “Troy, you scolded me for Skyla. In the past, you would never scold me for anyone. If this continues, I’m really going to complain.”

Troy decided to use his usual method. “One million”
Bria was outraged. “Seriously? You spend tens of millions on Skyla’s dresses and jewelry, and you’re stingy with your own sister? Are you still human?”
Troy felt extremely irritated by her long block of text.
However, it was unlike the irritation he felt toward Ayla.
With Bria, he allowed her to vent. There was indulgence behind his annoyance.
With Ayla, it was pure indifference. Any extra trouble she caused was a burden.
“How much do you want?”
Bria replied, “50 million.”
“Fine.”
“I love you the most in the world, big bro! Kisses!”
Troy rolled his eyes.
Ayla stayed up until two in the morning. She completed the modeling, packed the files, and emailed them to Halle.
She left a note. “Their model training is good, but the testing is too poor. I rebuilt the model. First, remove the data noise, then enhance the data. Follow this direction and introduce a new set of functions … ”
The next day, Friday.
Ayla barely got any sleep. However, she still got ready and arrived at work on time.

Around 11 a.m., Halle called. “You need to come to my office. You skipped too many steps. They can’t understand it.”
Ayla said, “I already explained it in detail.”
Halle felt the unintentional blow from a genius and groaned. “That’s what you think, not what I think.”
Ayla paused. “Fine. I’ll come.”
At the same time, Skyla left for ZeitTech.

Ayla hung up and checked the time. 11 a.m.
It was almost lunch break, and she had already handled her important work.
She decided to sneak out for a bit. Since she didn’t apply for leave, she asked Sacha to keep an eye on things, then drove to the Global Finance Center.
Right after she left, Will came over with tasks.
He told the finance manager to prepare a specific set of reports and send them to the CEO’s office.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
