Ayla felt a flash of surprise and happiness. But right away, she sensed something was wrong.
The look in Draven’s eyes felt strange to her. There was a sharp, violent edge there, something she had never seen before.
When he saw her, the look in his eyes finally changed.
Draven had already walked up to her. His eyes scanned over her body, checking for any injuries.
The rage in his gaze didn’t fade at all.
Ayla guessed he already knew she had been set up. That must be why he looked so tense and worried. She tried to calm him. “I’m fine-”
Before she could finish, Draven reached out and pulled her into his arms.
Ayla felt like she had hit a wall. His muscles were tight. Hard as stone.
Is he so worried about me?
Draven pressed her tightly against him, like he wanted to pull her into his bones.
The hug was so strong it almost hurt. After several seconds, he finally let go. His hands stayed on her arms. He lowered his eyes and stared straight into hers. “Is Jed inside?”
His voice was so cold that Ayla shivered.
So this was what Draven looked like when he was angry. It was scary.
Behind her, Iris and the bodyguards froze when they saw Draven. None of them dared to make a noise.
As Ayla secretary, this was Iris’s first time seeing her boss’s boyfriend.
Before, she had been curious. Now, not anymore. She was honestly terrified.
Max had been standing in the hallway the whole time. He watched everything with a calm face.
He liked the light in Ayla’s eyes.
And he didn’t like her looked at another man.

At the same time, James and the others rushed down the hallway after arriving back in Trensea. They reached the split in the corridor, booked both ways, then spotted Ayla and ran over. “Draven, you walk way too fast! Ayla, are you okay?”
James looked furious. He cursed loudly, “Is Troy out of his mind? Who does something like this?”
Max spoke from the side. “This has nothing to do with Troy.”
Only then did James notice Max. “Seriously? You’re here too? Why are you everywhere?”
“What’s it to you?”
James didn’t bother arguing. He just glared at him.
Ayla finally came back to her senses.
Not just James. Herman, Blake, Will…
They had all rushed to Zheron together.
Weren’t they supposed to stay one more day?
This bar wasn’t expensive. Suddenly, a group of obviously powerful people showed up. The vibe felt off. Many customers started looking over, wanting to see what was happening.
Once Will and Herman confirmed Ayla was safe, they stayed to handle the mess.
“I’m fine,” Ayla told everyone. “Good thing Iris was here.”
Draven lowered his hand and looked at Iris. He knew she was Ayla’s secretary. Even though he was still furious, he gave her a polite nod. “Thank you.”
Iris was stunned.
She wanted to say you’re welcome. But when she met Draven’s eyes, the words stuck in her throat.
He was saying thank you, but why did it feel like a knife was pressed to my neck?
Ms. Keaton’s boyfriend…
His anger clearly wasn’t gone. It felt like a wild current moving under calm water. Quiet. But dangerous.

Draven’s cold gaze swept over. His eyes locked with Troy’s. Neither of them spoke, but everyone present felt the tension.
The siblings looked like loaded weapons. One small spark could set everything off.
This time, Draven moved first. His eyes sharpened. He let go of Ayla and walked toward Troy.
Isabella wanted to stop him, but she didn’t dare. She stepped aside.
Troy wasn’t afraid of Draven coming at him. Instead, he stepped backward into the private room, making space for him.
The moment Draven stepped inside-Bang. He slammed the door shut and locked it.
As soon as he entered, he saw Jed being held down by bodyguards.
Is that him?
Jed was shaken in fear. When Draven looked at him, his mind went blank. His face turned even paler than before.
Troy might beat him up. But Draven…
Is that even a normal human look? Why did I feel like he was looking at a deadman?
Cold. Emotionless. Enough to make anyone’s skin crawl.
Seeing Draven look ready to kill, Troy let out a mocking laugh. Hatred burned in his eyes. “I thought you wouldn’t make it in time… Still, you’re late, trash.”

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
