Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 593

Chapter 593 Falling Apart

Ayla had to hold his hand to find some strength. As she looked at Draven, the deep affection in her eyes slowly faded. “The children are something that can’t be changed. They carry half my DNA and half of Troy’s. All of this has already collapsed into ruins. Draven, our love can’t be built on top of these ruins. It would hurt too much.”

Draven stayed silent for a long time. When he finally spoke, his voice was still gentle. “Ayla, do you not want me anymore?”

Ayla had always known how to protect herself when facing cruel, cold, or heartless people. She rarely gave in.

But she had no defense against true warmth. When she heard Draven say that, the pain hit her to the core. Ayla suddenly broke down crying and gripped his hand even tighter. “It’s not that I don’t want you. How could I ever not want you? I just care too much about you. Being with me means facing all of this…”

“What if I can accept it?” Draven tightened his grip on her hand and said it without thinking. His voice was much lower than usual, as if he were holding something back with all his strength.

Ayla strained to look through it and barely saw who he truly was beneath. Does he really love me this much? Can he love me to this point? Can he really lower himself this far?

Hardly anyone truly cared about Draven when he was young, so had he learned to feel satisfied with just a little warmth? Even after Kayla hurt him so deeply, he didn’t resist when she tried to ease things later. So even if I am about to have two children with the man he hates most, he still wants to stay with me and doesn’t care what he has to give up?

Ayla knew too well how good Draven was, and that made her heart hurt even more. She had thought about the chance that Draven would accept everything. She had even thought about using his love, staying with him, enjoying the happiness, and pretending nothing had changed.

But all the cost and pain would fall on Draven alone. She didn’t want to do that, because he would suffer.

No one had ever cared about Draven’s feelings before, but Ayla did. She truly cared, and it hurt her.

Ayla loved Draven too. She wanted to give him a beautiful love, not a fragile one. Just imagining a future where she would have to talk with Troy about the children and leave Draven alone at home made her unable to breathe.

This wasn’t something temporary. It would last forever.
