Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 639

Draven's heart began to pound when he heard those words. But along with the fast heartbeat came a deep, sharp pain.

Troy was just as shaken. He felt shocked and hurt. If Draven was important in Ayla's heart, what about him?

Ayla looked at Draven for a moment longer.

He stood there like a shadow in the darkness, as if sunlight had never reached him. A cold air seemed to cling to him. In the past, Ayla could still see the warmth in him. But now he felt distant and hard to read, as if he had stepped into a place she could no longer understand.

She had no idea what he might do next. Just like she had never imagined he would kiss her with such sudden force.

Slowly, Ayla clenched her fists. She looked away from Draven and turned to Troy. "Let's go," she said. "We need to see the kids."

The choice had only come up because Troy went crazy. Ayla and Draven had broken up. She was a mother and her children were sick. Of course, she had to go check on her child.

Draven knew they were no longer together. He would not expect anything from her as a boyfriend. Naturally, he would not be disappointed.

Draven wasn't as unreasonable as Troy.

Troy hid the wild jealousy in his eyes. He deeply regretted how he had just lost control. Even though he had not forced Ayla to choose, she would still have gone with him. Acting like that would only make her hate him more.

Still, the fact that Draven was important to her bothered Troy too much. He couldn't ignore this. "Ayla, I'm sorry. I won't do that gain," he said quickly. "I just worried about the kids. Then, I saw you and Draven... I lost control."

Ayla did not expect him to soften like this. "I understand," she replied.

"Ride in my car," Troy said. "We'll get there faster."

"I can drive fast," Ayla answered as she walked outside.

Troy followed her. "Then I'll ride with you. The sooner we see our son, the better."

Ayla kept walking without looking back.

Troy took a few steps after her. He suddenly turned around. The reasonable look on his face vanished. Only dark hostility remained in his eyes. Draven, did you see that? Ayla is mine.

After getting into the car, Ayla sent a text message to both Halle and Lisa, explaining that she had to leave early because of something urgent.

Even before he got in, he had noticed the ugly look on Ayla's face.

Was she worried about the babies? Or was it because of Draven?

A shadow passed through Troy's heart. He had known this would happen. The moment Draven showed up, Ayla would definitely be affected.

They hadn't broken up that long ago. If they stayed apart for a year or two, things would be different. Even if they met again, they would not feel close anymore.

The babies would be about one or two years old. That was the age when children were loud, messy, and needed constant care. Ayla would be busy worrying about them every day. At that point, Draven would not seem so important.

Thinking this way helped Troy calm down. As long as he worked well with Ayla to raise the children, things would be fine. If he stopped making her angry and showed her he could be a good father, nothing could separate Ayla from her children. And as long as Ayla stayed with the kids, she would not easily push him away either.

Troy's loss of control only happened when it came to Ayla and Draven. Compared to the other men in his generation, none of them could match Troy. In his eyes, they were all useless fools. Troy believed he was strong enough to be the children's father. Ayla would not give up on him easily.

But the moment he sat in the passenger seat, he noticed Ayla's swollen lips. Draven's importance to her flashed through his mind again. It almost made him laugh. Draven was always calculating and hard to read; how could Troy allow someone like him in her heart? Damn it! Was Ayla seeing Draven through far too kind a lens?
