Draven said, "I just want to look after you."
He returned to that intensely serious tone again.
It sounded so sincere that it was impossible to doubt.
Ayla was sick and trapped by the situation, and she no longer had the confidence to argue back.
Then Ayla noticed Draven had brought his toiletries over and began washing up beside her.
Ayla didn't know what to say.
Who would believe he had not arranged this beforehand?
Ayla went back to the bedroom. She was still wearing pajamas and needed clothes, so she had to wait until Draven came out.
Draven...
She sensed the cunning and calculating side of him.
Ayla had no option except to wait.
After a short while, Draven walked out. He looked at her from head to toe. Her complexion looked far better than yesterday, and she even had enough strength to glare at him. Good.
He lowered his eyes slightly. "Waiting to have breakfast with me?"
Ayla said, "Stop pretending. I don't have any clothes."
Draven suddenly said, "You kept me warm the whole night. That little hug just now doesn't count."
Ayla's eyes widened. "Why are you changing your mind so quickly? Besides, whether I started it is still arguable."
Draven said, "Do you remember touching me?"
Ayla was stunned.
Damn, she actually remembered it.
Draven said, "Ayla, call me Draven."
She was confused.
Draven looked at her and said, "Calling me Mr. Storm sounds too distant. Using my full name feels too close... So call me by my first name."
Ayla's condition was obviously not good. She could act tough before others, but Draven did not want her to keep doing that in front of him.
He wanted Ayla to relax, and he tried to create a way for them to be together where she could breathe easier.
The doctor had privately told him yesterday that Ayla suddenly collapsed. Perhaps after seeing the babies she finally let her guard down, and her body had already reached its limit. She needed rest. If she kept pushing herself, the day she truly broke down would leave her in a terrible condition.
So Draven searched for ways to lighten the pressure she carried. He could bear all of it himself.

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
