Divorce me I'm done serving you (Ayla) novel Chapter 735

Both sides clearly weren't on the same level at all. Ayla had already realized Melody had been fooled badly by Fabiola. Maybe from the start, Fabiola had never taken Melody seriously.

Deep down, Fabiola was arrogant too. Probably similar to Bria. The only difference was that Fabiola hid it well, while Bria didn't bother hiding hers.

While Ayla quietly studied Fabiola, she could tell Fabiola was watching her just as closely.

Ayla didn't want to speak first.

Fabiola noticed that Ayla didn't want to start talking. She lightly tapped the armrest, tilted her head slightly, and stared at her with open curiosity. "It's been a while, Ayla. I heard you broke up with your boyfriend and had kids. Congrats. And congrats to me too."

Fabiola leaned closer, a faint smile on her lips as their eyes met. "Aren't you curious why I'm congratulating myself?"

Ayla looked straight at her and replied flatly, "I'm curious."

After their mother died, Phil had never reached out to her or Kaleb again. To Ayla, he might as well have died.

She had stopped thinking of him as her father a long time ago.

Then suddenly, Fabiola showed up.

Ever since Ayla learned that Phil had another daughter, countless questions had been stuck in her mind.

There were things she needed to ask.

Seeing Ayla's calm, unreadable face made Fabiola want to laugh. "I'm congratulating myself for becoming an aunt."

Ayla didn't know what to say.

"Sorry. I didn't get to prepare gifts for my nephew and niece."

Ayla frowned and stared at Fabiola's soft, harmless-looking face. The whole situation felt ridiculous. "Are you serious?"

"Even though this is the first time we've spoken, and we're basically strangers." Fabiola looked straight at her. "I'm your older sister. Don't pretend you don't know."

Ayla actually preferred how direct Fabiola was being. She didn't like beating around the bush either.

She had imagined many possibilities, but never expected Fabiola to act like that.

What is this? Acting like loving sisters?

Fabiola replied, "If I told you it had nothing to do with me, would you believe it?"

Ayla stared at her. "No."

Fabiola's eyebrows lifted slightly. "At the beginning, this really wasn't my doing. When you broke up with Draven, Melody provoked you, and Bria saw it. Bria secretly taught Melody a harsh lesson behind your back. Melody couldn't accept that and wanted revenge, so I went to check Bria's background. Your ex-husband's family is powerful, so it wasn't easy to find their information. It took me a while before I finally learned the details. Then I only told Melody part of what I found out about Bria.

"Because I had been secretly watching you, I knew Bria came to Zheron today. But I didn't tell Melody directly. The bar Bria visited was an upscale place. Melody and I used to spend time around that area, so planning to eat nearby didn't look suspicious at all. That gave Melody her chance to act against Bria."

Fabiola rested her chin on her hand and looked at Ayla with interest. "So tell me, dear little sister. Should all of this be blamed on me?"

After listening to everything, Ayla said, "Why should I believe any of that?"

Fabiola tapped the armrest again and admitted calmly, "You're right. It's only my version of the story. Of course, you wouldn't trust it. But I can't bear to lie to you."

At first, Fabiola hated the idea of suddenly having a younger sister. She resented it deeply. She had even wanted to destroy Ayla, since she had no plans to let anyone take what belonged to her.

But the more she learned about Ayla, the more surprises Ayla gave her. Almost every time, Ayla exceeded her expectations. Or maybe it was better to say Ayla had her own strong personality. She wasn't someone boring who became dull after just a few looks. Slowly, Fabiola's feelings changed into curiosity.
