Pleasing someone came naturally to Bria.
If Ayla didn't know Bria well, she would easily have been taken in by Bria's sincere smile, smooth words, and lavish gifts.
At the end of the day, Bria was a spoiled rich girl with a bad temper, who could be arrogant and overbearing, and was used to getting her way. Yet she treated Ayla incredibly well, and it was impossible to stay mad at someone who was always smiling at her. Ayla was just a friend and had no reason to interfere with Bria's behavior. Because of that, she no longer had any real complaints about her.
Bria said eagerly, "Open it and see if you like it!"
Ayla opened the black velvet box to reveal a bracelet studded with diamonds, sparkling brilliantly in the light.
Bria knew that Ayla liked simple designs, so the bracelet wasn't too flashy. However, its quality was excellent, so the bracelet looked really beautiful.
"I love it, thank you."
Seeing that Ayla liked the gift, Bria was over the moon. "As long as you like it! Put it on!"
Ayla didn't ruin the mood and put it on. She was already dressed in formal business wear, so the bracelet matched her outfit perfectly.
However, Bria was extremely enthusiastic today. Ayla glanced sideways at her and smiled, asking, "Is there something you need from me today?"
Bria knew that she couldn't hide anything from Ayla. She said, "I just wanted to hear the gossip."
Ayla raised her eyebrows. "What gossip?"
"You and my brother... I mean Draven... Are you guys back together?"
Ayla answered, "Yes."
Bria's eyes widened. "Really?"
"Yeah," Ayla said. Compared to before they'd broken up, Ayla and Draven were more in sync now. They'd truly connected, and they were going to remain like this in the future.
"Congratulations, Ayla. I'm really happy for you guys." As far as Bria was concerned, she didn't care who Ayla was with, as long as she was happy.
However, she was even happier that Ayla was dating Draven. After all, that meant Ayla was almost her sister-in-law.
Once Ayla married Draven, they'd become a family.
However, that didn't bode well for Troy. That was too bad for him, but Troy had been horrible to Ayla, so they would never have been happy together.
There was something else Bria wanted to say, and she hesitated before finally speaking, "Ayla, my brother... this time I'm talking about Troy... He wants to see you. He said he has something he wants to tell you in person."

Why is half of each of these chapters missing? The story sort of trails off in the middle of the chapter. That’s unfortunate....
