Carol looked Ashton over. She hadn’t expected him to come out unharmed

Sully, who had been standing beside her, looked slightly puzzled as he spoke

“Ashton, why would the Zapata family let you go? After what you did to Mr. Zeke, they just let you go

Ashton ignored them and walked away with Scarlett.

“What’s with that attitude?” Carol snapped, her expression darkening.

“Relax. I’ve got everything ready. I’ll definitely make sure you steal the show,” Sully said with a sneer. “If! get the chance, I’ll humiliate Ashton and make sure he never lives it down.”

Half an hour later, Ashton, Scarlett, and Carol returned home to find Irene, Kevin, and Sarah just wrapping up their conversation.

A moment later, Irene walked Kevin and the others to the door.

“Ashton, see you the day after tomorrow,” Scarlett said, waving at him with a bright smile. Her attitude toward him was noticeably different now.

“See you,” Ashton said.
