“W-What are you trying to do?” Eden stammered.

Eden’s heart was pounding wildly. She felt conflicted, and her expression was unreadable. She was afraid and uneasy, but she couldn’t help but feel excited at the same time.

In the next moment, Ashton’s Drakell technique grew rampant, and his gaze turned feverish. He tossed Eden onto the bed and lunged after her like a starving beast.

Two hours later, Eden fell asleep. She was utterly exhausted.

When she woke up, the sun had already set. But to her surprise, Ashton was on her again almost immediately.

“It’ll take several more rounds before we can eliminate your chills syndrome. We can’t stop halfway!” he declared.

Eden let out a startled cry. She was completely unable to resist his advances. Or father, she had already given up trying. The pair got busy and didn’t stop until the sun rose again.

Outside of Eden’s room, Lauren and a group of Eden’s trusted subordinates had gathered. They were pacing back and forth, and their expressions were filled with both concern and curiosity.

They crowded around Lauren and began to whisper amongst themselves.

“Are you being serious, Lauren? Ashton and Eden have been in there for two whole days? Are they actually treating her chills syndrome? They’re literally alone together. Do you think something happened?”

“It’d be great if something did happen. If Ashton hadn’t shown up, we’d all be in huge trouble. Before this, I was imprisoned by Hera. If she had gotten her way, the consequences would be devastating.

“The whole of Zolane would have fallen into the hands of her and the Heavenly Medical Pavilion. That would’ve been a nightmare for all of us!”

“That’s true. Ashton turned things around all by himself. If Eden doesn’t want him, I might just make a move on him.”

“You? I don’t think Dr. Gray would be interested in you!”

“I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I know how to make a man feel good. I have to say, though, Dr. Gray is pretty handsome. I hope things work out between him and Queen Eden!”

“I doubt it… When has Queen Eden ever spared a man a second glance? I’m starting to think that she doesn’t even like men.”

Lauren stared at the closed door and recalled Ashton’s words, Back then, he told her he had come to Zolane for Eden.

Just as the group’s imagination began to run wild, the bedroom door creaked open.

Everyone froze, snapping their heads toward the doorway. They were completely stunned by what they saw.

Ashton stepped out with his arm wrapped around Eden’s waist. The latter was gently leaning against him with a bashful expression on her face.

She looked radiant and captivating. For a moment, no one could pry their eyes off of her.

“What?”

The group exchanged stunned glances as they tried to process their shock.

They had considered the possibility that Ashton and Eden would become interested in each other. But given Eden’s aloof personality, there was no way that she would sleep with Ashton in just two days.

The sight before them shattered everything they thought they knew about Eden.

“He definitely did,” another replied confidently. “I’ve got experience in this. Look at her she’s like a different woman A woman will only exude this type of allure after she’s been with a man.”

“Also,” the person added. “Take a look at her eyes. There’s no way nothing happened when frer gaze looks like that!”
